Thunder booms down overhead the almost empty house. Rain drizzles softly on the roof. Slightly smearing the small window. There's no one in the average sized house except for Jenni. Who's tucked away in a corner in the kitchen. Far away from the big window in the loft. A sketch pad sits in front of her. A rough sketch of The Doctor in his ninth generation on the cream colored paper.

Jenni always had images of this man. Many faces and many memories that weren't hers. She dreamed of far away places that she had never been to. Stars, aliens, planets, and vast galaxies. "Doctor...where are you?"Jenni mumbles to no one. More thunder booms overhead the house. Making her jump slightly. As a kid, she was deathly afraid of storms. You would never find her anywhere but her mums room.

She found safety in that room. Despite the fact that she no longer had a mum. Sometimes Mrs.Reggie would come over and comfort the shaking girl. Nowadays Jenni was okay with storms. Sure she would cry every now and then but it wasnt so bad. Jenni looks up from her sketch and out at the big window.

The rain had gotten slightly heavier. Thunder continued to boom overhead the average sized house. Lightning had join the chorus. Illuminating the dark sky. It was now the 14th of August. This weather was uncommon. But for some reason, every year, at exactly this time, there was a storm. Jenni had never figured at why. No one else ever seemed to notice either. For years, she wondered why. But now, she was about to find out.

Jenni stands up and brushes off her butt. She walks to the back of the house to her room. Opening the door, she takes a minute to look at the drawings. Even in the slight darkness, she could still make out his faces. One of a man with balding white hair. Around his 60's. Another of a man with curly brown hair. A straw looking hat upon his head.

Jenni strides across her room and to her closet. Quickly grabbing a jacket, she throws it on. After putting on red converse, she makes her way back to the loft. Jenni stands there, taking in the room. There were a lot of memories in there. Good ones and bad ones. Jenni finds herself remembering a good memory with Delsin.

~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~~
15 year old Jenni curls in a ball on the black leather couch. Tears stream down her chubby cheeks. Her heart slows at the pain. All she feels is pain. Pain from the loss of her boyfriend. Well rather, his loss of her. Jenni's boyfriend of 7 months had cheated on her with her best friend Penelope. She couldn't believe that Penelope had done this to her. And Brad too. The people she cared about the most, had broken her.
"Am I more than you bargained for yet?"
Jenni's phone cuts the silence. Picking up her worn out Prism 2, she answers.
"Hello...?"She answers, her voice cracked and worn.
"Hey Jen. Are you okay?"Delsin's voice drips with concern and worry.
"No..I'm..I'm not. Brad...he cheated on me with...with Penelope."Jenni whispers, no longer trusting her voice.
"Why I outta...I'll be right over."Delsin says. Before Jenni can say goodbye, the line goes dead. Sighing, Jenni grabs the afghan off the floor and drapes it over her shivering body. Soon after, Delsin barges in. With a chocolate cake, cookies, Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and a few movies.
"This is all i could carry. But I figured it'd be enough. I know you don't each much."As Delsin was talking, Jenni had already grabbed the box of cookies and was now munching on two at once. Delsin smiles lovingly at her. With a mouth full of chocolate chip cookie, Jenni motions for Delsin to start a movie.
"Geez. Bossy."He teases, winking at her. After he had out the movie in, Delsin sat next to Jenni. Not sure if she needed space or someone to hold her. Jenni snuggles up into Delsin. Obviously, it wasnt the latter.
~~~~~~~~~End Flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~

Shaking the nice memory away, Jenni opens the door and peers out into the pouring rain. Swallowing nervously, she crosses the threshold and closes the door behind her. Whatever fear she thought she had, had grown even bigger. It wasnt the rain that scared her. Not the thunder or the lightning. It was in fact, what could be lurking out in the dark. She didn't know and she really didn't want to find out. But she had to face her fear some time.

"I can do this..."Jenni mumbles to herself over and over as she starts walking into the rain. Farther away from the safety of her warm, cozy home. Fear practically radiates off of Jenni. The more she walks, the more fear spikes into her veins.

'Theres nothing to be scared about. It's just a storm. There's nothing out there Jenni' Jenni thinks. Repeating her mantra, she keeps walking. Passing by all the average sized houses. The only difference between her house and the others, was that she had a golden colored door instead of black. Her mum had made the Heffersons, the couple that had long moved away since her disappearance, get a new door for her.

Her mum, from what she could remember, was a lively person. Always singing some random tune while she cooked dinner. Or if she was too tired to cook, she'd order pizza for the two of them to share. In those 5 years she had known her mum, she loved her dearly. Not only for the fact that she was her mum, but because she was Jenni's best friend. Even for a short amount of time.

Something moves from the corner of Jenni's vision. Her heart picks up it's pace. "Hello?"Jenni calls out stupidly. Almost smacking herself for being so stupid. Number one rule: Do not ask if someone's there. In horror movies, the main character always gets killed for asking if anyone was there. Of course there was someone there. Letting out a shaky breath, Jenni continues walking.

Again, something moves. But this time, right in front of her. She screams loudly. Probably waking up the whole neighborhood. "Gotcha."A tall dark man whispers. Jenni could tell that he was smiling. What did he want from her? She wasn't about to stick around and find out.

Jenni side steps the man and runs. Runs as fast as her short legs could carry her. Now, Jenni wasnt athletic. Not at all. In school, she was quiet. She never got bullied. She was kind of invisible to everyone. Which she really enjoyed. But boy was she fast. Jenni keeps running. Her breath coming out in puffs. Looking back, she sees the man a couple blocks behind her. She almost smiles. Almost.

As she looks back in front of her, her face collides with something hard. Stepping back, she holds her now bleeding nose. A blue box sits in front her. "Police Public Call Box...."She mumbles. Sudden realization hits her like a ton of bricks. This was the TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimension In Space! And that man she had run into two times was the Doctor. A huge smile spreads across her face. That is, until she hears the man from before.

"I'm gonna get you!"He shouts, only now a block away from her. Panic seeps into her skin. Panic runs in her veins. Jenni bangs on the TARDIS doors.

"Doctor! Doctor please open up! Help me! Please! I need you! Open up! Doctor!"Jenni shouts with desperation. Seconds tick by. The man gets closer. Jenni gets more anxious. Just as she's about to give up, the door swings open.

"Hello Jenni!"The Doctor grins.

A/N: It's 10 here and I'm tired as heck. I hope you liked it. Please vote and comment :) I had a lot of fun with this. Sorry it's kinda a cliffhanger.
