Then they heard a voice:
"JOHANNES! JONAS! COME!" Elin said.
"Mother! There's two Carnavans here" Jonas said.
"Really" Ellin said.
She glided towards us, fangs baring.
We saw her long, black dress swish along the cobbled steps. Her red eyes aflame. Her black boots thudding along the hard ground.
"So, this is Simon the Slayer and his servant wife Gemma" Ellin laughed.
"And you're the Mother" I said.
It was like meeting Lady Catherine the first time.
