Zendaya

Today is the day I move in with Cleo and her family and honestly, I'm nervous as hell. I know Jahseh hates me and that really scares me. I really don't think we'll be hitting it off anytime soon. I sigh shakily as Cleo gently rubs my back.

"No more hospital for you, sweetie! You're all set and good to go. Ready to go home and get settled in?" She raises a brow, waiting for my answer and I smiled softly.

"Yes...thank you Cleo." I hug her tightly and she returns it back, but gently.

I bet she doesn't want to hurt me cause I'm so fragile.

I laugh lightly. "It's okay to hug me tightly, I won't snap, although to you I feel like I will." I said and Cleo giggled, tightening the grip and making the hug tighter.

God it feels so good to feel loved.

We pulled back and she smiled softly. "I'm so excited. We can get your room together, get you some clothes and get you some-"

She rambles on about getting me stuff and my eyes widened. There's no way I'm just gonna let her spend all of her hardworking money on me. I'm not even her child and I'm about to have one of my own. No doubt she'll be trying to help me out with this baby too.

"Cleo, I can't let you do that. I'll manage with the clothes I have at my old house, they just need to be washed." I bite my lip thinking back to that terrible house. Cleo frowns and looks hesitant before speaking.

"Are you sure you want to go back to that house, sweetie? Can you handle it?" She studies me intensely as I let out a deep breath and shrugged.

"I guess we'll find out..."

I stare out the car window and watch as the scenery of the town goes by. It's so much I've missed being trapped inside for so long. I sigh happily, but smiled a bit. It's a relaxing feeling, a happy feeling to know that it's all gonna get better from here on out. The car pulls up to Cleo's house and I glanced over at her in confusion.

"Don't worry we're still going, but I want to do something and get someone. Please bare with me, Zendaya. I know you guys haven't been getting along, but I think he needs to see this. No offense to you, but I think it might be a life changing experience." She smiled tightly and gets out of the car, leaving a bad feeling in my stomach. I get out slowly and follow her up to the house and we walk inside. It smells so fresh and clean, just like I expect home to smell like. An instant smile stretch across my face as Aiden comes running down the stairs.

"TODAY MOM!?" He looks up at Cleo with hopeful eyes and Cleo nods.

"Yes today, baby. She's staying here, starting tonight. No more hospital for Zendaya — well until a couple of months." She smiled softly and I blink emotionless, forgetting about the other life I'm carrying and creating. I sigh softly, but then giggled as Aiden jumps from the second step to me, clinging from my neck.

"We're gonna have SO much fun! You can walk me to the bus stop, play video games with me, take me to the park and-" He fires off all the fun stuff we'll be doing and Cleo sighs.

"Slow down Aiden and get off her like that, boy! I'm sure you're making her uncomfortable." She looks nervously.

Probably still because of my weight thing...

"Sorry mom... sorry Zendaya. I just feel like I'm gonna explode cause I'm so happy!" He smacks his hands to the sides of his face and cheered, jumping up and down on the steps. I laugh the loudest I ever did and shake my head.
