Ice Skating Part 1

*Cyrus' POV*
I chewed my fingernails as I glanced at my phone. I debated texting TJ. He had just recently confessed his feeling to me and so did I. I don't really know where we are at. Are we dating? I have no clue. Do I want to date him? Of course. Does he want to date me? Maybe. I finally worked up the courage and sent TJ a text.

C- Hey!
T- Hello
C- What are you doing?
T- Just hanging
T- You?
C- Same
C- So this ice skating place just opened up and I was wondering if you wanted to go together?
C- I mean not together together but like together

I looked down at the text. Ugh why do I have to be so awkward!
I waited for a few minutes and then a few more minutes and then a few more until FINALLY TJ responded.

T- Sure sounds fun!

I breathed out in relief and smiled giddily as I picked out an outfit to wear. Something warm and cozy. I couldn't wait.

*TJ's POV*
I sat staring at my phone screen terrified. I had zero clue how to skate. Off the ice I could do any sport I wanted to but as soon as I strap my feet into skates I was a complete mess. I can't embarrass myself like that in front of Cyrus!
I went to pick out something to wear. I couldn't find anything to wear. That's it! I'll just tell Cyrus that I have nothing to wear then I won't have to go ice skating with him.

T- Hey Cyrus hate to cancel on you but I have nothing suitable to wear :(
C- No problem you can just borrow something of mine I don't mind
T- I don't know if it'll fit you know
C- Nonsense I have winter gear in all sizes
T- Cyrus really I just don't think it's gonna work
C- TJ you can just tell me if you don't want to go I understand
T- No it's not that I don't want to hang out with you
C- Then what is it?
T- I can't skate
C- 😂 😂 😂
T- Laugh all you want
C- It's ok! I can help you

I glanced at my closet to see my winter coat and sighed. I guess I could try.

T- Yeah ok
C- Yay!
I chuckled at Cyrus' excitement I could wait to meet Cyrus to go ice skating! Even if I was also completely terrified. Maybe with Cyrus by my side ice skating won't be so bad.
