Hello there Mr. Socially Awkward (Niam)

Chapter 9

Liam's POV

I can't face school right now. What if Niall hates me for kissing him?

"Come on Liam, he did kiss you back right? Plus he didn't push you away or anything. Maybe he does like you too, so don't be scared, just get in the door." Danielle groaned.

I rolled my eyes "fine!" and pushed the door. Everything seemed to be normal, it's not like the whole world knows I kissed Niall Horan right? Only me, Niall and Danielle. I looked at Dani "You didn't tell anyone about the kiss right?" and she shook her head "good."

I felt someone pat my back and said "Congrats Liam! Heard you and Niall had a little moment there huh?" I turned around and sighed in relief as I realized it was just Louis and Harry.

I looked at Dani and said "you said you didn't tell anyone!" and she shrugged "I didn't!" Harry laughed "Chill, Niall was the one who told us" I blushed "Oh he did? Was he disgusted or anything?" Louis shook his head "Nah. I don't think so" I sighed in relief.

Harry grinned "speaking of Niall, look he's over there!" and pointed to the blond boy near the lockers. Harry started walking towards him but I just stayed in my place.

Danielle rolled her eyes "come on Liam! I doubt that he hates you!" Louis said "yeah! Come one!" He grabbed my arm and dragged me towards Harry and Niall along with Dani.

Each time we got closer, my heart beats even faster. Niall looked at us and smiled at each one of us, but his eyes stayed on me a second longer than the rest.

Louis said "Hey Niall, do you hate Liam?" I blushed and looked down at the floor as Niall replied with confusion in his voice "Of course not! Why would I?"

Danielle spoke up, embarrassing me even more "he thinks you hate him for kissing you." I felt my chin being lift up and my eyes met Niall's. He smiled "I don't hate you Liam, I doubt I will. Plus I told you, the kiss wasn't so bad."

I wanted to look away so bad because my face was obviously a color of a tomato already. It doesn't really help especially when he's touching and looking at me at the same time.

Harry, Louis and Danielle were grinning and giving me looks at the background.

Finally, Niall let go and smiled  "let's get to class okay?" and I nodded.

I can't believe it, it's not even Science class but Niall's sitting right beside me, not Zayn. I couldn't see Zayn though, which means he probably skipped class or something. 

Eleanor, one of Dani's friends came over and smiled at Dani first then Niall "why isn't Zayn here?" Niall shrugged "I don't know with him."

Eleanor looked hesitant at first then asked "did you guys...break up or something?" Niall closed his eyes first, obviously trying not to cry and nodded slowly. Eleanor said "Oh. I'm so sorry Niall."

He opened his eyes and tried to smiled "it's alright. It was for the best I guess." Eleanor smiled sadly, nodded and went back to her seat.

I saw a tear escape Niall's eye. He must have really loved Zayn and I think a part of him still does despite what he did.

I patted Niall's back "It's okay. You'll get over him soon" and he just smiled at me and said "thanks"

I felt sad in the inside though, just when I thought I had a chance with Niall. My subconscious spoke up HE KISSED YOU. OF COURSE HE LIKES YOU. I shook my head. No I kissed him, he just allowed me.

I can feel my subconscious rolling his eyes but he let you kiss him and hold his hand. What about that huh? I shook my head again.

Niall asked quietly "are you okay Liam? You've been shaking your head for the past few minutes" I blushed and said "Y-Yeah. I'm fine"

I looked at Dani and she raised an eyebrow at me.

"Niall, would you mind if I walk with you home? I think Dani already left me" I said, looking down at the floor. Niall smiled and joked "of course you can. And quit looking at the floor. I'm starting to think you find it attractive" I just laughed.

We walked out the school gates together. I suddenly remember us holding hands and I found myself staring at Niall's hand.

Niall said "Let's get away from school a little bit more then you can hold it" I blushed and nodded.

After a few more minutes of walking, I looked around to see if there were other schoolmates around. Nope.

I slowly grabbed his hand and put my fingers between his. He said "Your hands are really warm and soft" I blushed again "thanks"

He put his fingers around mine and I had to try and think straight. I gulped and closed my eyes for a while, which turned out as a really bad idea because I ended up falling.

I tripped on the sidewalk and fell, pulling Niall along with me. I landed on my back and Niall landed on top of me.

I blushed "Oh I'm so sorry, I closed my eyes--" I wasn't able to continue my apology because my lips were cut off by Niall.

Is this real? Is Niall Horan kissing me? And he's the one who kissed me first. Without thinking, I put my hands in his hair and pulled him even closer to me. He cupped my face with his hands and bit my bottom lip asking for permission to enter.

I opened them, allowing his tongue to explore my mouth. I moaned as I finally got a taste of Niall Horan, my tongue dancing with his.

As Niall pulled away, I found myself staring into those deep blue eyes again. The same eyes I fell in love with the moment I saw them.

Niall muttered "Liam, I think I'm slowly falling for you" and I said "I fell for you the moment I saw you."

Suddenly, some old lady screamed from the house beside us "Get off the sidewalk you horny gay teenagers!" we both laughed and stood up quickly.

I grabbed Niall's hand and we ran towards the direction of his house.

By the time we reached his sidewalk, we were panting and huffing. Niall smiled "that was fun. Thanks again Liam." I smiled "my pleasure Niall, see you tomorrow?" and he nodded "see you" I watched him enter his door and gave me one last goodbye.
