Chapter 20

Liam's POV

"You look amazing!" My mom and Dani squealed at the same time and hugging me.

I laughed and hugged them back "thanks, I just hope Niall will like it."

"of course he will!" Dani said, smiling. I smiled at her, she looked beautiful too. She was wearing a shining red dress, whoever her date is one lucky guy.

I looked at the clock and gasped "I have to walk to Niall's house now, you coming Dani?" I asked looking at my beautiful best friend.

Dani shook her head "No, I actually told my date to pick me up here." I nodded "okay, see you later!" My mom and Dani gave me one last hug before I left the house and walked to Niall's.

As soon as i reached his front door, i took a deep breath first and I finally knocked.

I heard a couple of shouts and finally, the door opened revealing Greg, Niall's brother.

Greg nodded and signalled me the I can go in, as I stepped inside, Niall's dad came downstairs and smiled at me "Niall will be down in a few minutes."

I nodded and just stood there in awkward silence, my heart beating as I finally heard the door in Niall's room open.

My mouth opened in pure awe and adoration as I watched Niall go slowly down the stairs with his mom.

He was wearing a nice black tux but his hair was done really beaitifullt and he looked brighter than he usually is. He smiled at me as soon as he reached the bottom step.

"You look amazing and nice tux you've got there" Niall said as he hugged me. 

"You don't look bad yourself, just kidding, you look beautiful." I said, smiling and looking at him, digesting the fact that he was my prom date, no wait, scratch that. Digesting the fact that this boy in front of me is my boyfriend and I want to spend every moment I have with him.

Niall and I just stood there looking at each other when his mom interrupted our silent moment "Let's take a picture of you both!"

Niall chuckled and I couldn't help but smile. He walked to my side and put his fingers between mine.

Niall's mom took our a camera and said "smile you two."

I smiled and held Niall's hand even tighter, the camera flashed and after Maura took a look at it, she smiled and said "you two look so perfect for each other."

Niall shrugged beside me and said "we are" earning a chuckle from Niall's family.

As we turned to leave, Greg pulled me back and awkwardly hugged me "thanks for taking care of my little brother."

I smiled and hugged him back "sure, I always will." as I pulled away, Greg turned to Niall and hugged him too. I waited for them to finish their brotherly moment and finally, Niall and I were on our way to school.

We walked slowly while holding each other's hands. "I'm sorry if we only have to walk to school." I said, blushing.

Niall chuckled "Don't worry about it, I like walking, the air is pretty cold and I like the feel of it on my skin plus walking gives me more time to be alone with you." he said, looking at me.

I blushed and said "me too." We walked in a comfortable silence for a few minutes until we finally reach the school.

There were balloons and signs that the prom is at the gymnasium along the hallways, but of course, we have to meet up with Harry and Louis first.

We waited near the lockers when finally, the cute couple appeared, both looking amazing and handsome.

Harry grinned as he eyed me and Niall "you two look great." Niall grinned back "so does you and Lou."
