I've already gone over this on my messages board, but I'm putting it here too because I'm bored.
It's three in the morning, and now I'm going over the history of my name because the whole story is just so weird.
So my original, Chinese name was something I can't spell. But apparently it means "Beautiful Tree." So I'm a tree now, good to know.
Then I got adopted and they named me Hannah.
Fun fact: they wanted to name me Sophia, but they didn't.
Why? Because that was the name of my father's grandmother's dog, and my mother didn't want me to be named after the dog, so they made my name Hannah instead.
How on earth my mother thought that it would be making me after the dog, I don't know. The dog was dead. It had died a few years before I was born.
But anyways, Hannah became my first name, my original name became my second middle name, Lorraine became my first middle name, and they gave me my father's last name and am I ever so thankful for that.
Having to be stuck with my mother's last name for life? No thanks.
And that's the long history of the process of naming me.
Weird parents.
Wait, no.
That's just my mother.
My father is fairly normal. At least from what I've heard...
