Not What We Expected

12: Lie, Lie, Lie

When Dec leaves the toilet and walks out to the living room is Anth directly there in front of him with a drink in his hand that he passes over.

"Here.", he smiles, "We're playing never have I ever!"

Dec smiles back and smells at the liquid in the glass, "What is it?"

"Coke and Smirnoff", Anth answers and gives him a new smile, "That's the only thing I've seen you drink, but you're free to choose something else if you feel like it."

"This is perfect!"

Belle gesticulates to Dec to sit down beside her, which he does as Anth says that they're only waiting for a few more people before they can start. And with some minutes pass, Clara comes and sits down beside him as well and there are some people who guessingly has been outside smoking, now coming in and joining them too.

"Someone who feels like starting?", Anth asks and looks around in the room.

To be honest, Dec hates these kinds of games. Doesn't understand the drinking games where everyone should revile private and embarrassing stuff about themselves, and sometimes are forced to do ridiculous stuff against their willing. Of course, it can be interesting to get to know naughty stuff about persons he knows, but he has always wondered why can't they just take that in a normal conversation? Drink normally and talk normally.

The general gossip, there are very few things he could care less about than that. It should be Great Britain's royal history maybe...? Or Jojo talking about all the times she was right when Dec claimed that she was wrong.

"I think we should start easy-", one guy starts off with, "Never have I ever not been drinking alcohol tonight.", he smirks and drinks together with everyone else in the room.

The first statements after that are also alcohol-related, like "Never have I ever got a blackout due to drinking too much.", "Never have I ever done something I regret when drunk", "Never have I ever gotten really drunk because of a drinking game" and Joanna seems to be the one to end the drinking-themed-questions with "Never have I ever thrown up because I've been drinking too much alcohol."

Dec laughs at that and looks at Jojo, "Trying to get me to down this in one go and add a new tick the list of times I've thrown up because of alcohol, or what?"

"Exactly, you're not my responsibility tonight.", Jojo laughs back at him but then it seems like she also has to add, just to be sure, "I'm joking of course, I still want you to be careful, okay?"

Then turn goes over to a girl who says, "Never have I ever masturbated while thinking about someone I know, like a friend or so, a person who's not famous.", and Dec can only think that that's a fucking coincidence! Just a moment ago did he just that for the first time in his life...

Dec can't help noticing how Anth drinks too, and Dec immediately wonders who they or he or she was. Their eyes' meet for a second but not long before Anth points towards Jojo questingly with a cheeky smile.

"Ant, stop it, it's not even okay to consider that.", Jojo says shaking her head, "Very disturbing! Never mention that again, it's like suggesting he would think about Martin."

"Oh no, stop it!", Martin says, putting his hand over his ears, "I just pretend- God, that's disgusting! To make it stop, never have I ever smoked a cigaret!"

Dec swipes his glance around in the room, without drinking himself, but that's until he eyes land on Anth. When he sees that Anth drinks it just proms Dec to drink too. Tonight's first lie - check. He doesn't know why, but somehow he just takes back to their first meeting when Dec felt how he wanted to show Anthony that just because he looks like a child, doesn't mean he is a child.
