HOSEOK:

"Only humans can't see biting marks." His face, usually calm and peaceful, now rests accusing. "So, tell me, why did you lie?"

Jimin gives him a sharp glance, withholding a grunt.

It's too early in the morning to put up with Hoseok's questions. In twenty minutes, he managed to be both slapped by a woman and treat another like a used bitch, so Hoseok starting this little useless drama is the last thing he wants.

Not even in his best humor, which he clearly isn't, would he put up with this.

JIMIN:

"Isn't it obvious?" He decides to ask back, moving around so he can open a cabinet to take a glass out.

Then, he walks up to the living room, smoothly dodging the beige long couch and the round dark-wooded coffee table, and heading straight for his bar, grabbing a bottle of whiskey.

Jimin isn't a man of many vices. Yet, whenever he feels stressed – no matter what time of the day –, he can always count on the bitterness of the alcohol to put his thoughts in order.

He pours some of its liquid into the glass, proceeding to take a long sip, his eyes landing on the arch, his cousin following behind him.

HOSEOK:

"No. It's the opposite of obvious." He notes. "If this is about what you told me—"

His uncertainty makes Jimin roll his eyes in annoyance, huffing.

JIMIN:

"She smells like them. You'd recognize it if you had been there..." He grunts, shifting his gaze outside the window to his pool, tensing up, a past he wants to forget subtly emerging in his mind. "So, I needed to be sure—"

HOSEOK:

"If she was human?" He completes the words Jimin didn't pronounce, his expression becoming even more confused. Almost upset. "You could have died..."

Jimin simply bitterly laughs, sipping some more of the liquid that burns his throat.

JIMIN:

"It was one bite. Even if she was a vampire, it wouldn't be enough to poison me." He sneers, somber, bending his knees all so slightly to rest the glass on the table.

He finds it ironic: how similar they are to snakes... Dying by tasting their own venom – in this case, their own blood.

Hoseok sighs, falling concerned.

HOSEOK:

"Still, you shouldn't. If she's human and has their scent..."

Jimin gives him a serious glare, clenching his jaw.

JIMIN:

"She's theirs. I know."

HOSEOK:
