Shesaid goodbye to Zoey and Evan before walking out of the house. "Goodmorning Ryan" she looked over to see one of her fellow employees."Alex! Morning" she smiled and the two of them walked and talkeduntil they stood in front of the high school. "This is my stop"Ryan chuckled, "will you be at the shop later?" Alex asked, andRyan nodded. "I could grab drinks and we could talk more" hesmiled, "I would love that!"
She walked in the office and started doing her makeup work. "Good to have you back Ms. Krii" "Wish I wasn't," she thought. Most of her makeup work was done and its now lunch time. "Ry? I thought you weren't going to show up" Ryan groaned as she grabbed her tray and sat in her usual spot. "Colton, why are you so obsessed with me?" Ryan asked, and Colton put his hand on his chin and thought. "Well, I wouldn't say obsessed, more like intrigued." "It's best if you just stay away" Ryan mumbled. "How about I tell you why? Or would that be too annoying to you?" Colton mused. "I'll decide that. Alright explain yourself then" Ryan ordered.
"Well, it started in the office. You were sitting alone and paid little to no attention to the things around you. I was also very curious as to why you were by the principal's office. Once you showed me around you looked uncomfortable and pissed. Everyone was talking about the fight that apparently took place last week. Though from what I've seen so far you didn't seem like the fighting type. Also, you have a scar over your right eye, and both of your eyes are completely different shades of blue. I wanted to know your story" Colton explained, and Ryan thought for a while, just sitting silently.
"People don't just stalk the person to find out more information" "would you give me it if I asked?" Colton interjected. "Doesn't mean you should intervene with my private life" Ryan scolded. "You're a very interesting character Ry. Do you have any friends here?" Colton interrogated. "What's it to you?" she asked. "Like I said I'm intrigued by you" Colton stated. Ryan got up dumping her tray full of food into the trash and setting the tray neatly on the cart.
Colton bit his lip and shook his head. "That went well," he said with sarcasm. He finished his food then left the lunchroom. As Colton walked down the hall he started wishing he hadn't even talked to Ryan during lunch. "I was pushing. Damn it!" he growled as he punched his locker. He grabbed his books then headed off to class.
School ended, and Ryan sprinted to the flower shop. Ryan stopped once she saw the nineteen-year-old through the window. She finally stopped ogling at the boy from outside and walked into the shop.
"Ryan!" she couldn't help but smile as Zoey hugged her. "You ready for a shift? I have to go meet my parents for dinner. I'm leaving Alex and Evan here with you" Zoey clarified as she grabbed her purse and kissed the top of Ryan's head before walking out the door. "How was your first day back at school Ry?" she gave Alex the stink eye as he called her the nickname. The boy laughed and put his hands up not wanting to start a fight. "It was fine, I guess. Though, I can't wait until I graduate" Ryan explained looking out the window.Word Count; 586
