(Meliodas's POV)

I sat by the bed, my face in my hands. I should have listened to my gut feeling sooner. If I had been just one second late, she wouldn't be laying in the bed with a head injury. She would be on the ground, dead. If I would have followed her when the voice kept telling me to, she would be awake and talking.

My mind traveled to the moment I caught her, the surprise in her eyes. They held so much in the split second they were open, and just before she closed them despite my shouting for her not to, they had turned red. They were red the first time I had laid eyes on her. It had been over five years since I last saw her before she showed up with Hendrickson a few days ago.

"Why, why come here despite what you told me?" I whispered softly.

"Captain, are you alright? I sense that you have lots of regret." Gowther stated as King and Elizabeth sat beside me.

"I was almost too late. When I got to her she was nearly out of my grasp. If I hesitated I would have been too late." I explained to them.

Elizabeth frowned and pulled me into her embrace. "It's alright, Meliodas." She whispered. "She's safe and alive because you were there."

I nodded and looked at (y/n) laying in the bed, white bandages wrapped around her forehead to the back of her head. She seemed to be sleeping peacefully, her chest rose and fell gently at a normal pace. It was as if she didn't try to end everything.

"She is on a loop of something. It's her and a boy. He looks oddly like you just with white hair and odd blue eyes. The seem to be as blue as the ocean. They seem to be making a promise."

"What promise?" King asked, his interest peaked.

"If it's to protect you, my love, I will leave this world and never come back."

My eyes widened and I stood up. I had heard those words before, the night I whispered about some random girl.

'Finally, you see something isn't right about this.' My inner voice, the one that yelled at me to follow her, said.

'Who are you?' I asked it.

'One day soon, you'll learn.' It said.

As everyone stared at me for my sudden action, a noise came from behind me. We all turned around to see (y/n) sitting up and rubbing her eyes. She seemed different, she felt different. It was as if she had been reborn in the moments she laid there, She felt more powerful then when we had assumed.

"(Y/n)!" Hawk said and trotted over to her.

She smiled softly and patted his head. "So, um where am I and what the hell happened?"

"The tavern, and you tried to jump off a building." I explained.

"That explains the headache and the other thing."

"What is the daughter of Pluto and how do you tie into it?"

Hendrickson spoke before she could. "I explained the daughter of Pluto to you before."

(y/n) looked at Hendrickson and smiled softly. "That's because Harper and Nitesh took their memories. They didn't want them 'spying' on me as they put it. I don't quite get how they could do that though."

We all just look at her, confused. She only smiles and gets out of the bed. She looks at Hendrickson with sad eyes. "I thought Serephine would never return but I was wrong. She returned time and time again. Sometimes she was left alone. Those were times where no one stood by her. She was alone and all those around her wished she'd die. Those were the lifetimes she barely made it to the age of ten. The loneliness angered her's and Trent's insanity cloud. This drove them to lead her up to a roof, a bathroom, anywhere to end it all. There were times she was so pissed off at herself for sending her lover and one of her friends away, it felt like the world around her robbed her of all her emotions minus anger. These were the times insanity cloud drove her insane and she became known as the Bell Witch. The very few times she got to live a happy pain free life. The insanity clouds found a way to put her life in a horried fate of death. This was her punishment. Her punishment for being the reason DOAS was found and wishing away Trent." She said with a dark tone.
As concern filled my head and heart, I made my way toward her. Once I reached her, I placed my hand on her cheek. It felt natural in a strange way. "Its gonna be alright. Sit down, (y/n). Just sit down and take a breath. What matters right now is that you're here and breathing." As I spoke I felt my hand heat up and her eyes flash between red and her normal (e/c) hue.
As I pulled my hand away she sat down as a few tears slipped down her cheeks.
"God... I'm so stupid for not noticing the signs. How protective Harper was when it came to me. The way fire drew me in. The stories my mom told me when she was alive. Heh, I wonder if Nitesh gave her the amulet." She spoke softly.
"What do you mean, (y/n)?" King asked.
She looked up and smiled. "I'm another reincarnation. Another step to a disater." She said as she got up and walked towards the window. She looked up towards the sky.
"You believe that now that you remember who you are something bad will come to the universe?" Gowther asked in amazement.
She looked at him with glazed over eyes and nodded. "DOAS wants to break my spirit to perform a ritual called パワー死 (Power Death). Its a ritual used to take the 悪夢の王女 (nightmare princess) powers and store them in into the human man who robbed her of her innocence. This is done by taking a demon poison laced blade and... " she died off and shivered.
Hendrickson walked by her and rubbed her back. "Don't speak any more of it. It will only break you more."
I went over and pulled her into my arms as if it was an normal day to day thing.
Elizabeth huffed and walked out of the room. Ban and the others looked at each other unsure of what to do.
"She doesn't like you doing that. You should go talk to her Meliodas." (Y/N) said and pulled from my grasp. My arms suddenly felt lonely. "I want to talk to Hendy alone anyway."
We all nodded and left.
(Hendrickson's Pov)
I looked at (y/n) as pieces of what she said had fell into place. She was the daughter of the Pluto clan and each life time she felt like it was her fault that she was in the position she was in.
"(Y/N), I don't believe that you meant for any of this."
"Maybe I didn't. The point is that I did it. I sent them away. Did I know that would happen? Did Seven explain it to me? No, but it's his job. It's the circle of life." She kept on rambling about those sentences, mentioning them in different formats. She was clearly upset that she had begun this craziness by a stupid mistake she made.

"Anyway, it doesn't matter!" I heard Meliodas shout from down in the tavern. (y/n) rolled her eyes and walked towards the door, before she left she to go down stairs, she waved goodbye.
I walked down the stairs to see the commotion that was occurring. Meliodais was standing by the bar, Elizabeth a few steps in front of him. The sins and (y/n) stood by the door for an easy escape if it was needed.
"How does it not matter?" Elizabeth asked, upset about what had happened a few mintues before.
"She needed a hug and no one else was gonna give it to her." He explained. "We don't understand what she has been through!"
"How is it her and her friends can be reincarnated?!"
The room fell silent and (Y/N) stepped forward towards the two. "Because I am not from this world. I know you know of the promise Trent and I made, but here's the catch princess", she said the word with a poison tone to it. "The world I am from doesn't have this everyone lives hundred of years then die. But I guess for you it's being killed then reincarnated. In my world it's mortals that are killed and reincarnated or the immortals." She finished and stormed out the hut.
As she left a bit of black smoke stayed behind and swooped around Meliodas. The sins and I looked to the door then to Elizabeth.
"What do you mean-"
"She forced the person she loved to leave her for their own good. From what I caught is the last time she saw him lifetimes ago, he was badly beaten as he had to not reveal he was a demon to save her from being accused of being a witch. Thus when she got home after being dragged there by an hard to see male figure to her home. I assume she is from a different planet. One that is more advance then us. It's quite obvious she refuses to let you question her." Gowther said, cleaning his glasses and quickly putting them on his face.
"She was pretty upset. It must get harder and harder to wake up when to do it you put your life on the line. I wouldn't be able to do it." King said, following his statement with a yawn.
I watched as the black smoke swirled around the room and touched Elizabeth and the others then created a picture.
It was a girl with long blonde hair and a girl with short blonde hair. The long haired one was dressed in a short folded black skirt and a red button up while the long haired one wore a black dress, and black heels. The two whispered amongst each other in a inaudible whisper.
(Y/N) came running towards them and into their arms as tears fell down her cheeks. It was as if once she left the tavern her emotions became to much and she ran to people who would understand.
"Whoa, slow down you could get hurt." The long haired one whispered and she lead (y/n) to sit on the ground and began to wipe her tears. It was as if it was a annual thing for them.
"She's injured. (N/n), what happened?" The short haired one asked.
"I- I lost control... They wanted to take over again.... It was so much stronger then the past times. I could barely grasp time and where I was. When I finally realized where I was, my feet left the ledge."
The two blondes stared at each other and nodded. The short haired one tilted her head and smiled. "Welcome back. You know who you are right?"
(Y/N nodded as her eyes flashed red and a sad smiled spread on her lips. "I am the true ruler of the nightmare kingdom. I am the daughter of. Ravann and Jezebel. I am the Nightmare demon of Fire."
