Act 4 - Center of Attraction

Ashley is looking at her own replica while wearing a backless lilac long gown. Her hair was braid like a roman godess. Her make up is simple but makes her look so damn beautiful.

"Finally. Im going to be Pete's date in a formal event."

She smiles while wearing her earings.

"Shall we go?"

Pete ask while peeking at the door.

"Lets go."

Ashley held Pete's arm while walking to their car after the elevator open.

All eyes are on Ashley when they reach the newest hotel that Pete and their company built and going to open in Manila area. Why not? Everyone know that Pete is married to Lucy. He smiles at her and put her hand in his forearm and start walkibg straight to the entrance where they will cut the ribbon together with the board of directors.

But thats not that easy. The bunch of reporters run over them and start to ask a million of questions reffering to new hotel.

"We are having a press conference later and all of your questions regarding to this hotel will be answer."

Thats all Pete said before the security control the media.

Ashley try not to look down as he instructed her earlier while the priest is praying and showering a holy water at the hotel's entrance. She is so aware almost everyone is looking at her and whispering something. Maybe some recognized her. But she manage to chin up until the priest finish his prayer and the staff give them scisors. In a count of 3, they all cut the ribbon and an applause came up. They enter the hotel and checks the facilities. After a few walks Pete leave her in the ball room.

"I'll be back in no time."

"It's okay. Take your time. Im fine here."

When Pete leaves she walks over the cocktail and the stuff hapily greeted her.

The staff are nice. But the visitors gossiping around her makes her feel uneasy. She used to girls gossiping around her cause she is pretty. But not this one. It gives her chill. She put down her wine glass and walk outside the asotea. The gossiping sounds dont follow her outside when she close the glass door.

She held her chest while holding the barrier of the terrace while looking down.

"I cant breath easy."

She whisper to herself.

"Are you okay miss?"

She stand up straight when she herd the voice of a man approaching her.

"Yeah. Im fine."

"Are you sure? You look....."

Ashley wait for him to finish his sentence but he didnt.

"What?"

"Beautiful. You look beautiful."

Ashley smiles while studying the man in front of her.

This guy is tall. His skin is tan. His eyes are green. His hair is longer than the usual guy has. And his body is not visible cause of a formal attire. And he smiles so nice.

"Did I pass?" he ask smiling.

"Ha?" She blink cause she herd that line before. With Pete. On their first meeting.

"Your studying my appearance. So did I pass? Guapo ba?"

"Well..... Pwede na."
