Chapter 19: Someone's Jealous

Brie's POV 

Wednesday 11:28 am, Im on my way to Carlisle's Office. Well, I just want to have a lunch with him, so I cook his favorite pork stake. I want to surprise him, pere I think I should call him first if he's free? Kasi baka masayang lang ang effort ko.

Calling Carlisle... 

On the 5th ring, he answer the phone.

 "Hello." He sai din a stern voice.

"Uh.. Hi!" I said playfully. I dont want sound nervous because I am.

 "Who is this?" Aww. hindi niya kilala ang voice ko. :(

"Brie.." 

"Reese?"

"Yeah..."

"What do you want?" Napaka direct to the point naman to..

"Ahh yeah... Um.. I just wanna ask you..."

"What?" Napa hot tempred naman nito. Sabagay, hot naman talaga siya.

"Ano.. I just wanna ask  you if you're free for the meantime? You know, to have lunch? I cooked your favorite!" I said hoping na pumayag siya. Gusto lang kasi siyang makasabay mag lucnh na kami lang. Never pa naming nagagwa yun eh.

"Sorry, but I can;t. Meeting."

"Oh! Yeah. Sorry. Maybe next time?"

"Yeah." Then he end the call.

"Bye.." I kinda feel disappointed. Oo nga na naman. He's a busy person. I should have think of that!

  Maybe if you didn't assume na bibigyan ka niya ng oras kahit na sandali hindi ka madidisappoint.

I should've called him earlier.

I immediately make a U turn para bumalik naa lang sa bahay. Doon na lang ako kakain ng mag -isa. Pero I saw Carlisle eating happily in a fancy restaurant with Karmela...

"I thought he was on a meeting?" I asked to myself.

"So thats what meeting means now."

I t hought he somehow liked me now, kahit as a friend, or maybe kahit na tao lang.  Umasa pa naman ako. Base from his behaviors and actions towards this past few days, he's sweet, caribf, thoughtful and sometimes he jokes around.

Is it all part of the contract? To make me fall hard and then left me broken because I thought that he'd catch me? To make me feel foolish for believing his lies? I guess I was wrong.

I never knew how I mange to drive safely with my blurry eyes, but I found myself sitting in a lonely isolated park.

I creid myself out for the thought that no one will ever notice me...

"Gabby?..." That familiar voice came out of nowhere.

"Markyy.." I said in a horse voice . I know that voice, its my best friend's voice.

"what are you doing here? Wait ---- have you been crying?!" Sabi niya ng makalapit na siya sakin at tingingan ang mukha ko.

"N-no... I'm just sweating throuh my eyes.." Then I try to fake a laugh, but no vail. He knows me too well.

"C'min Bag, I knw you too well. Tell me, what's the problem? Sino ng nangaway sayo at bubugbugin ko!" Sabi niyb ana parang siga sa kanto.

"Nothing. Ano ka ba hindi na ako yung bata noon na lagi mong pinagtatanggol." Sabi ko at pinanusana ang mukha ko gamit ang panyo na kinuha ko sa kanya.
