CHAPTER 13:
Astrid quickly ran towards a patch of grassed and grabbed two rocks. She then raced back to the front door of the hall and started clashing the two rocks together...
Hoping to make a spark and catch the town hall on fire.
'Ugh this is useless!' She thought to herself but she had to keep going, she couldn't just give up now.
Eventually after a couple of trial and errors, a spark flew onto the wooden wall of the hall. The flame was expanding really slowly but it will do for now.
~~~
I saw Astrid open the doors and walked inside. Her dress was amazing!
She connected arms with her fathers as they walked down the aisle.
She gave me a wink on the way down. That must mean she was able to catch the wall on fire.
~~~
Half and hour lapsed and there was no sign of a flame anywhere.
"Are you sure you did it?" I whispered to her.
"Yes. But it's taking it's time and we don't have much of that left." She replied.
The priest finished his long speech and we said our vows that were full of lies but we needed to make one anyway.
And then my worst nightmare came true, we were out of time.
"You may now kiss the bride." The priest said.
Crap this can't be true!
But the next time I saw was Astrid looking at me worried.
"I'm so sorry." She whispered to me, and then she collapsed to the floor...
CHAPTER 14:
Everything was falling apart.
I have no idea what happened to Astrid but shortly after her stunt the hall started to burn down.
Everyone made it out safely but how did it come to this?
Gobber walked out of Gothi's hut and saw me sitting on the edge, looking down at berk.
"Umm Hiccup?" Gobber asked curiously.
I turned my head and quickly scrambled to my feet. "Is she alright?" I shouted.
"Hiccup, Astrid's in a coma." He replied. "She probably drank something to cause this."
Gobber might not know about this but my best guess is that she did this just in case our plan didn't work out, but she didn't want to tell me because I might of started to worry, well I'm already worried.
"But the thing is," Gobber added, "we don't know a way to wake her up.
My heart sank. This couldn't be happening.
"Can't we just wait till she wakes up?" I asked. My legs felt like they were about to give in and collapse on me.
"That could take months. But it's our best bet at the moment unless Gothi can find a way."
I had to agree with the terms and tell myself that this is happening...
CHAPTER 15:
"This obviously isn't the way you planned everything, is it?" Asked Fishlegs.
How did she know it wasn't going to work? What if our original plan worked but it wouldn't matter because Astrid would still be in a coma either way.
"No it wasn't." I replied after thinking for a while.
We were pacing ourselves around the village while talking.
He's really the only person I can talk to about this since if I told my dad what we were planning I probably wouldn't be alive right at this moment.
"I think I'm gonna go back home. Bye Fishlegs." I said to him and walked in the direction to my house.
~~~
I walked into my house and noticed that my dad was here as well. I thought he would have been constructing the hall at Gobber's workshop.
As I continued to walk he turned his head and faced me.
"I'm sorry about what happened." He said in a low tone.
"I-It's not your fault dad, you know that."
"I'm going to find out who put her in a coma then make them wish they were never born!" He shouted, and he threw his axe, making a 'clank' sound as it his another axe.
I had to tell him what happened.
I took a couple of steps closer.
"Dad, t-there's something I need to tell you..."
