true story.
now, many of you probably know what sleep paralysis is, and for those of you who do not, i am genuinely too lazy to give a full explanation. i had sleep paralysis when i was eight. i didn't understand what it was.
i was asleep, when my eyes shot open, my head just barely tilted left, i could see what looked like an angel, but it looked like how my sister would today, and at the time she was only 3. i was confused, almost threatened, and just as quick as she appeared, she was in my face, kneeling on my chest and gripping my neck. i couldn't move. i couldn't breath. gasping for air. then she was gone.
the next day i was walking to school when a boy who was walking with my brother and i asked why i had "love bugs" on my neck. i said i didn't, the bruises left soon after. sometimes i wonder if it really was sleep paralysis.💫
