My Story

Part Two: Luke

I wasn't new to camp, but heck, I didn't like talking to people. I either hid in my cabin, the back of class, or at the beach. It was weird. Nico was a bit better. But not by much. I stayed away from love after the "incident". I tried not to think about it much. I didn't like Luke. He probably didn't like me either! That's what I thought at least.

I was walking around the camp. It was a free day. I was walking around, just looking for Nico and Will. I never found them. Instead, I ran into Luke coming out of his cabin.
"Well hello!" He said, he smiled. I tried not to act surprised.
"Good morning to you too." I said. He laughed. A bunch of his friends came out of his cabin.
"Is that your girlfriend?" One of them asked. Luke told them no and sighed.
"I'll see you tomorrow!" I said. I walked off not waiting for and answer. I kicked some rocks on the beach. My pink hair was flowing. I thought of my mother, and Bianca, and sighed. I hoped Christmas would be better this year.
"College..." I muttered.
"Boo!" I screamed and flipped around. Leo was standing there, laughing. I yelled at him.
"Why would you do that?!" I screamed at him. Then I felt bad. So I apoligized. He told me there was no need. We laughed. Leo and I had been friends since the first day of camp. I hated life here. It was always training time. Leo made it more fun. Of course, Shadow's cabin, Ares cabin, hated me. I was lucky though, they couldn't try to kill me due to the fact Shadow was quite strong. I was strong too. My powers were to grow flowers and kill. All with a single touch. I wass blessed by Persephone. She and I bonded well. So every other Spring, I went with her to grow flowers with her and her mother.

"Hello? Leo to Pheeniex!" Leo was waving his hand in my face. I snapped back to reality.
"Huh?" I looked around the beach.
"You zoned out again! What is up with you?" He looked very concerned. I told him quickly that everything was alright and that I had to go. He nodded. I knew he was gonna tell Nico. I hadn't been eating, I skipped all the eating times, and Leo let Nico know everyday I wasn't there or when I didn't eat. Nico would write it down and tell me everything at the end of the day. I ran back to the Cabin. Emily and Hazel were there. My sisters. They waved and went back to talking. I was the forgotton Hades child. I went up to my bunk, above Bianca's old one. Nico still blamed Percy and I, but I got over that.

Luke walked in and told me he'd be waiting outside for me. He walked out, closing the door.
"Is that your boyfriend?" Emily asked me, she seemed excited.
"No." I replied calmy. I got down from my bunk and walked out of the cabin, closing the door.

"Hey." He said. He seemed upset, like something bad had happened.
"You okay?" I asked. He nodded but then he grabbed my hand and led me into the forest. I blushed. Nobody had gotton close like that. I quickly recovered and we stopped running.
"I saw Nico." He said. I tilted my head. What were we doing out here? "I needed to get you away. He was saying he was gonna send you to the underworld since you weren't eating. Leo told him no, and Will panicked, but he kept his ground." He was talking fast. I started crying. I fell on my knees and covered my face with my hands. He rubbed my back and he comforted me. "I can get you the things you need, but you can't leave this place. I'll just say I told you and you ran out of camp." I nodded. What else could I do. The plan was set. I had a hiding spot and everything. Chiron new what was going on, but he didn't tell anybody. I stayed in the forest.

It was finally Christmas Eve, but I was depressed. I had no family to spend it with. Nico wanted me gone, and I couldn't risk anything. I heard a twig snapped and I turned into a cat. It was Chiron. "Pheeniex, Luke and I have agreed, you should come back to camp. We won't let Nico take you to your father." I nodded and walked with him. When I got to my cabin, Nico looked at me. He seemed angry. I walked to my bunk, but I didn't lay on mine. I just stood at the ladder. I looked at Bianca's bed. It was all nice and neat, from the day she left. I wished she was here.

I got up on my bunk and spent the whole day there, crying. Nico did really hate me. When night came, I didn't sleep.
