Hazel

  Saturday morning,I was already awake before the alarm goes off.I opened my eyes and stare at the ceiling.No class today so no need to rush.In fact,I'll be going to Niall's house later to meet his mom.

  Now thinking about Niall,my whole body felt uneasy.I kept remembering his intense blue eyes and adorable shy smile.When I first decided to help him,I just planned to be his friend.But now Im not sure.How can I remain to be his friend when everytime our skin touch,electric shots tingle through my body?

    Im the kind of girl who easily falls.It only took me a week to fall for my first boyfriend but sadly,we broke up cause he and his family moved to Asia.

  I wouldn't be surprised if I find myself falling for Niall.He is cute,smart,kind,protective and everthing.I cant even believe only a few people see that.Any girl would be lucky to have him.

  "Hazel."I heard Zayn's voice followed by a knock on my door."There's someone looking for you downstairs."

  I furrowed my brow confused.I wasn't expecting anyone today.

  "Who is it?"I asked.

  Zayn opened my door and his head appeared."Dont know."he said then leave.

  I got up from my bed,tied up my hair in a ponytail and head downstairs not even bothering to change my PJs.When I got to the living room,mom was handing someone a glass of juice.And that someone is Niall's bestfriend,Liam.

  "Liam?!" I said a bit surprised.

  "Hey Hazel."he replied smiling.

  "I'll leave you two alone."mom said before exiting.

  I sit on the couch besides Liam.No one said anything for a moment.

  "So,what brings you here?"I finally asked."Not that Im not happy with your visit,but why?"

  Liam took a deep breath."Im sorry to bother you."

  "No,its fine.Im glad you stopped by."

  Liam hesitates then,"I came here to talk about Niall."

  I stare at him."Oh...What about Niall?"I asked.

  "Uhm...."he sigh."Look,Niall is my bestfriend for so long.Im his only friend.I look out for him.Im like his big brother and...."he trailed off struggling for words.

  "I get it."I said making Liam look up intently at me."You'll do anything to protect him.Even from me."

    Liam was taken aback at first then he dropped his head,embarrassed.He get it that I know hes warning me about Niall's safety and feelings.

  "Erm...sorry Hazel Im just-"

  "Dont be."I interrupted him."Caring about someone is not a sin.But you can trust me about Niall.I would never hurt him.Im not that kind of person."

  "Are you sure?"he asked and some people might have been irritated by that but I just smile and gaze ahead,thinking of Niall.When I spoke,my voice came out in daze.

  "When I first met Niall,I knew there was something different about him."I said remembering the first time I saw him.Liam's full attention was on me now."My friend Harry told me Niall was being bullied.But when I heard Niall speak and saw his eyes upclose,I just know there is more to it.Hes too scared.Not only of bullies at school.So when Niall brought me to his house and I saw Victor,it just hit me how hard Niall's life is."

  "How do you know about all that easily?"Liam asked softly.

  I look at him straight in his cute brown eyes."Cause I've been through worse Liam.I know everything about Niall's feeling about his situation.I experienced worse things and I've been through the dark."
