"Ivery." A man wearing a black tuxedo yelled in the distance while waving his arms above the crowd.
Ten dollars that this is her baby daddy.
I smirked to myself.
Ivery noticed the guy and waved. She got through the mass of bodies with me trailing behind her like a lost puppy.
"Oscar. Great seeing you again, its been years."
Ivery smiled.Okay, I withdraw my statement. Maybe this isn't the baby's father.
"Same here." He said smiling just as brightly as her.
"Oh. Ida, this is Oscar Branson. Oscar, this is Ida Avlis." Ivery said introducing us.
I smiled and waved. He smirked and gave me a nod in acknowledgement.
The baby started crying in Ivery's arms. She tried feeding her but it didn't work.
"I don't understand, I changed Oakley's diaper just before I got on the train. I fed her before we got off. What could she possibly want?" Ivery stared at her baby confused.
"Oh, pass her to Oscar, maybe your hip bone is hurting her?" I said unsure.
"As odd as that sounds, you may be right." Ivery said giving Oakley to Oscar.
Oakley started crying harder. I cringed at the sound coming out of her mouth. I was never a baby's person.
My eyes widened when Oakley's arms were outstretched to me.
"No,no no no no. She probably thinks I'm Ivery." I said jokingly while shaking my head.
"Oh come on Ida. Just take her, please. People are starting to stare." Ivery begged.
"Fine, but if she doesn't stop I'm giving her to you again." I said.
"Okay fine, just take her." Oscar said hastily passing Oakley to me.
Oakley hugged my neck and sub sided to light gasps instead of crying her lungs out in public.
"Thank you." Oscar said rubbing his head with his palm.
"No problem." I said quietly staring at the infant in my arms shocked.
Why did Oakley want me to hold her? It doesn't make sense.
Oakley looked up and for a split second I could of sworn her eyes quickly flickered red. My eyes widened. I looked at Ivery and Oscar to see if they saw what I saw, but was disappointed to see they were in a deep conversation.
I looked back down at Oakley to see that her eyes were back to its unique blue.~>~>~>~>~>
Oscar took us to his car parked on the outskirts of the station after I passed Oakley back to Ivery. Ivery just asked Oscar if I could go with, so I helped Ivery pack her bags in Oscar's car's trunk.
Ivery obviously called shotgun and Oscar was driving, so I sat in the back. It was actually nice in the back alone. He drove a black Jeep so it was comfy.
As Oscar turned onto the road I stared at Oakley sitting in Ivery's arms.
I don't know what it was, but when Oscar passed Oakley to me I felt a shock of electricity go through me and when Ivery took Oakley away, I felt like I didn't want to let her go.
