I am celebrity get me out of here 2018. Not like any other year. Especially not for the two presenters, who were both half asleep, being bumped around in the back of a car. At least one was half asleep, while the other was simply closing their eyes in order to compose themselves. It was a mammoth day for all involved.

"Out we get... good luck to you both!" The Australian driver half hollered into the back of the jeep as it pulled into the centre of the complex.

"It's really about to happen isn't it?"

"Sure is, lets go get'em!"

Dec replied with a smile that didn't quite make his eyes, but it was enough to please Holly who genuinely smiled back, with the smallest of twinkle in her eyes, before hopping out the jeep.

Meanwhile Dec took a deep breathe in. He could do this. Everyone knew he could.... apart from maybe himself.

The first show of the series was always going to be nerve-wracking. Seeing how the lineup interacted with each other- and then how the public reacted to the stars. Pre-filming yesterday had been very successful and the production crew were already more than confident in the Dec and Holly pairing. It wasn't the same as Ant and Dec- but that didn't at all mean it wasn't good. There was always going to be an adjustment however yesterdays glimpsed of the duo had given some extra confidence to everyone.

"I already love Harry with all my heart!" Holly squealed as they watched all the VT's for the first episode in the gallery.

"Looks like Sandra has a run for her money!" replied Dec- joining in, if a little less enthusiastic than Holly.

"Dec... are you okay? I mean are you okay with this?" The blonde had taken Dec completely off-guard and his heart was melted by her concerned eyes; currently boreing holes into his soul.

"Oh Hol... it's just different. Not bad different just not the same. Please you've already made me laugh constantly, I know you will be amazing. It's just getting used to it you know?" Dec responded, but could never allow himself to meet Holly's intense blue gaze, opting instead to stare at his hands- wringing them subconsciously.

"Will you promise me to pull me up on anything... anything you don't agree with. you don't like. I just don't want to step on anyones toes."

"- you mean Ant's toes?" Dec cut in rhetorically, not able to hold back his tongue. Holly sighed before continuing.

"Yes that's exactly what I mean. You know that and so does he. So is it a promise?" Holly had this amazing way of making Dec feel almost completely relaxed just with her tone of voice. Dec knew he could trust Holly; as Ant did so completely. She could melt everyones heart with her kind soul and suddenly Dec felt a wave of guilt.

"Yes Hol, its a promise... and thank you and sorry for-"

"- lets stop you there because there is no need and I don't want to miss another Harry story!" Holly smirked gesturing back at the monitor which had continued running through the conversation. Dec couldn't help but chuckle as Holly turned in awe back to the screen. She was good.

The morning flew by and after a manic script meeting Dec and Holly had retired to their caravan for 10 minutes before they would drive to set. Dec was sat hunched over the little maple brown table with a highlighter in hand- still a little uneasy of the script. His studious attitude was interrupted by a knock at the door.

" It's open!" Dec shouted as he scribbled down a note before he was dragged into a conversation he didn't necessarily want to partake in.

"Studying are we?" Holly giggled as she walked  to the opposite side of the table, gently stroking Dec's back as he unhitched himself. All he did was nod in reply and Holly's confidence dropped a little. But she carrie don with her plan not allowing herself to be deterred.

"So Dec, I know we've only been together properly for like a week now, and although we are good friends I don't know you through and through. But it doesn't take a genius to see you aren't feeling super comfortable with this arrangement and that's ok- it was never going to be a seamless transition. I was thinking how I can prove to you just how on your side I am and I realised there was no point talking to you. Because in reality I know to prove to you I have to prove myself to someone else- to Ant." Dec's face was full of emotion and again he felt incredibly guilty for making Holly feel uncomfortable. She was doing both of them a favour and he should be utterly completely grateful. Carrying on regardless of Decs' body language, Holly continued.

"So I was just face timing Ant and he mentioned that he hasn't actually had much contact from you at all here. And then I realised that's exactly why you are so upset- you feel like your betraying Ant. So..." Holly held up her phone which had been hanging at her side to show Ant beaming down the camera onto the screen.

"...I thought you two had a bit of catching up to do." Dec didn't say a word but his jaw was pretty much hitting the table below him, which said enough for Holly to place the phone in his grip; before walking out the cabin as swiftly and gracefully as she had entered.
