Chapter 2
Joel's POV
I can't believe what Aaliyah just told us. Khalil was going to get it no matter what Lila said. Now we can't fully protect Angel. I love Aaliyah with all my heart she was like a sister to me. The day seemed to go a little slower than usual. Finally, lunch came. I walked into the lunchroom with Tia and we got lunch and waited for the others. When Diamond and Angel came we couldn't stop talking about Aaliyah. Poor sweet Lila; her big brown eyes didn't sparkle like they used to and she didn't smile a lot. Then, Aaliyah walked in her face redder than we have ever seen. I was just about to ask what happened to her when Tia stood up.
"Lila what happened? Why are you so red?" Tia asked walking towards her. I can see the annoyance in her voice. I think no one else saw her eyes move over to where Khalil and his friends were sitting but me. I elbowed Diamond to let her know it was Khalil.
"Did Khalil do this?" Diamond asked. When she didn't answer Diamond, Angel and I went over to where Khalil was sitting. Angel can get anyone to talk. So when we got to his table she pulled the girls who were sitting on them, off and asked for an excuse. They looked at her nastily before she said spoke.
"I don't want you 2 to get hurt in the act I'm about to do" she said before pulling Khalil and Jonathan out of their seats by their ears and pulling them to the side.
"Which one of you is going to start talking first or do I have to beat it out of you?" I said balling up my fist. Angel just put a hand on my arm giving me the look that said, don't hit until needed.
"What did you do to Aaliyah, Khalil?" Diamond asked him. Even though she was just 5'4 she scared a lot of people.
"I have no clue what you are talking about." Khalil answered with a big smile.
"Really because she came over and madder than mad and when we asked her what was wrong she glanced over at your little table with death glares. Care to explain, before we have to beat it out of you." I said already getting heated. Angel placed a hand and gave me a knowing look that said don't do anything stupid. So I backed off.
"I have no clue what you are talking about for real." Khalil said. Angel turned her back and started counting to 10 when one of the girl's said something smart to her that set her off. She turned around and grabbed the brunett hair girl by her shirt and punched her dead in her face. Then, turned back to Khalil.
"Listen up and listen well. You do anything to hurt any of my friends espically Aaliyah I'll make you regret the day you ever decided to come to this school, got it?!" Angel said staring hard. Then, she turned around and left dragging me with her before I did something stupid. She sure can does know how to get her way and point across.
When we got back to the table Liyah's face was her normal color. But she was still grilling Khalil.
The rest of the day went by quick and before you know we at Angel's house like usual. Thank heaven it was Friday.

We were sitting in Angel's room watching the classic Scooby-Doo. We were up to the part when they discovered who has been causing all the trouble when, Keith, Jonathan's little brother, came in a took a look around then his eyes landed on Diamond, she didn't eveen seem to notice until the show ened.
"Yes?" Diamond asked looking at him. All he did was back out of the room closing the room. Ass.
At around 10:30 that night we all left leaving Angel in the house with, Khalil, Keith, and Jonathan. Good thing Tia was staying over for the weekend.
I made back to my home back in the city. My mom, and my two little twin sisters, Kayla and Jennifer were on the couch watching Thomas. I don't even think they noticed when I came in. I went up to my room, took a shower and got ready for bed. But I didn't go straight to bed,I stayed up a little later to watch Happy Days. I know its an old show but hey I love that show. At around 2 am I went to bed.
