The sun was coming up from the horizon. They were still moving at a quick pace. Nadine heard a groan from Henry and ordered them to stop. Nadine felt herself sweating from carrying the heavy sword. She put the sword down and went over to Henry. He was pale and his breath was getting heavy. Dustin came over and Nadine realized how much younger he looked to Peter. He was musculer built and smooth features. She figured he was close to her own age.

Henry did not look good, he needed help and he wasn't going to get that while they were on foot. She had to choose between life or death. To trust this man with her brother was very hard, but she knew her brother would die if she didn't. "You need to get him to Xander." Nadine told Dustin.

"I don't argue with you, but what about you. " Dustin's dark eyes looked at Nadine in concern, but Nadine ignored his gaze and picked up the sword and than put the sword into his hands.

"I will be fine. I will follow the hoof print until someone comes back to get me. Now Go!" Nadine raised her voice and pushed him to get on the big black horse. Dustin accepted his weapons and lent Nadine a knife. He held onto Henry and picked up the reins and got the horse to a fast gallop up the hill. Nadine watched her brother disappear for the second time. She ran after them until her legs couldn't go any faster so she slowed down to a walk. The hoof prints were clean in the dirt and she followed them easily. To Nadine disappointment a rain cloud came over head and started to release its' water right on top of her. She had given her coat to Henry and so she had nothing else to cover herself. The England rain came down hard and Nadine mumbled under her breath as the trail of hoof print faded into the earth. "Now what?" Nadine said aloud. She thought she could find shelter till the rain stops. But all that was around was small shrubs and bushes in the open field. Than she saw a small apple tree in the field and she figured that was good enough. She rested her head and twisted the branches so that the rain didn't bother her face. She sat still and soon her eyes became heavy and she couldn't control the tiredness in her eyes and mind.

Nadine woke and felt and ache in her neck and a shiver down her spine. It wasn't raining, but she also wasn't outside. The room was solid stone and she was in a small bed. The clothes she has on we're replaced with a night gown. she moved her hands along the cloth and felt comfort in the smooth fabric. Nadine still could smell the reek of sweat and dirt on her body. "I didn't want to bath you in case you would wake." A voice said from behind Nadine. Nadine turned to see a woman dressed in a blue dress that had long sleeves and a turtle neck. She seemed older with brown hair with grey streaks. She was folding sheets while she talked to Nadine. "Where am I and How did I get here?" Nadine asked. The woman spoke in a strange accent. "My dear ya are in a safe place at Xander's. This place is a safe haven for many. Dustin brought ya by horse. Don't ya get up now. Ya tired eyes need rest and those wounds on ya back need to heal properly. I didn't maken ya bed for nutten." She made Nadine lay down again. "But..." Nadine started, but she was interupted "Don't ya worry nun. Ya brother is safe en well. I tended his bandages me self. Dustin did a good job wit the medicine. It prevented thee infection from getten any worse. Yor wounds are healing ratha nicely. Now ya get thee rest ya need and I will make ya bath so ya can smell better then a cows bum for dinner wit Xander. Stay here Miss I don't need any help." She walked out the door while she was still talking. Nadine was just stunned at meeting someone who can talk as much as her brother could. She was thinking of how much she actually missed hearing his voice. Nadine was still tired so she rested her head on the fluffy pillow and she fell back asleep.
