Milo the 1-year old cat sat by the fireplace grooming his paws. Milo had orange fur with splotches of white. He had beautiful sea-blue eyes.
"Ey, whatcha doin', bugger? Lickn' your pity liddle paws?" Asked Skulls the 5-year old cat. Skulls was all very dark black. In the dark all you could see of him was two glowing green eyes. Skulls used to live in the forest with some other wild cats. He was the king of the wild cats. He got whatever he wanted, and he loved his life. He had blazing sharp claws, and he still does. But one day when he was about 2 and a half years old, animal control scooped him up. For 1 year Skulls was kept locked up in a cage until a human adopted him and introduced him to Milo. Skulls is still angry about all that, since his life back then in the forest was much better and exciting.
"Stop it, Skulls! My paws are not pity." Meowed Milo.
"Ye, they are." Skulls repeated.
"No! They are NOT!" Milo jumped on Skulls and scratched his stomach. Instantly Milo realized the mistake he had just done. Attacking a fierce, partly-wild cat! What an idiot Milo was!
Skulls hissed loudly and sprang back on his four paws.
"Who dares try to attack meh?" Skulls growled.
Milo backed away. "Uh..." Milo was clearly trying think of something that would change the subject. "Um... look!" Milo pointed at Skulls's chest.
When Skulls looked down at his chest, Milo zapped his finger up and flicked Skulls's nose.
"Grrrr... we're playin' that game, eh?" Growled Skulls.
Skulls hesitated then said, "look under there."
Milo looked around. "Under where?"
"Ha! Got ya! You said underwear!" Laughed Skulls.
"Oh, thank god it was only that trick. I thought you were gonna pounce on me and scare me or something." Milo relieved.
"Oh, no. I would never do that to my best pal!" Skulls said.
"Well in that case, I'm going to go back to grooming by the fireplace." Meowed Milo, stepping a paw towards the warm fireplace.
Suddenly Skulls leaped on top of Milo and yelled, "HA YA!! Got ya! You think me, the greatest cat of all, would just do that pity liddle underwear joke?"
Milo was startled so bad. His heart was racing 100 miles per hour.
"I suppose..." Milo whimpered. "Please never do that again though. I could've passed out.
Skulls laughed. "I do what I wanna, kid. If you were once king of the forest like meh, you'd understand that. But you're just a pity little kitty mewing for your stupid human to give you that gross dry, tasteless food."
Milo hissed. "And you got everything you wanted! That's why you're so spoiled and mean! If you weren't once king, you'd understand that being a house cat is one of the best things you can wish for. Here it's warm and you get free food. If you weren't king, you'd accept any food as long as it's edible. You know, wild cats that aren't king live a long, tiring, cold, and sometimes terrible life. If you weren't king, you'd love the dry food. You'd think it's as good as heaven. You'd be thinking, 'wow, I'm gonna live 100 years if I get to eat this wonderful, healthy, pretty good tasting food every day!'"
Skulls grumbled under his breath.
"You don't even know what it feels like to have something bad happen."
Skulls hissed. "YES I DO!! I had the worst thing happen to me! I was relaxing with my friends when all of a sudden these humans came and trapped me in a cage for 1 whole year! I HATED it!"
"Well... I suppose so. You don't have to yell, though. I was trapped in a cage for 1 year too. I was actually BORN in the cage. At least you got good time before that happened." Meowed Milo.
Skulls grumbled again.
