Mark drove to the animal shelter. After a few minutes Mark found the perfect girl cat. She wasn't exactly that similar looking to Skulls, but somehow Mark just new that Skulls would instantly fall in love with her. She had long, beautiful fur that was black and white. She had golden-yellow eyes and she was fairly nice.
Mark took the cat home and introduced her to Skulls first.
"Who are you? Another stinking bugger added to the family? No, thank you." Skulls snarled and scratched the girl cat on the stomach.
"Hey!" Mark yelled and picked up the girl cat. She was clearly very offended.
Mark new it was over. He had made a deal that if the plan didn't work, he'd have to get rid of both cats. Mark couldn't even believe it. He would have to get rid of Skulls, the cat he had for a year or two, AND get rid of this beautiful cat that he JUST got! Mark didn't know what to do.
Milo walked over to Mark and rubbed against his legs. "So, did it work?"
Mark sighed. "Sadly, no."
"Ha! Now you must get rid of both cats! But first, can I see what the girl cat looks like?" Meowed Milo.
"Eh, sure." Replied Mark as he set down the girl cat.
Milo paused. He felt kinda awkward. Milo shyly said, "hi. I'm Milo."
The girl cat stood up and said, "nice to meet you, Milo. I'm Lily."
Milo just stood there awkwardly. "Lily... that's a nice name." He finally said.
Lily could see that Milo was very shy. "What's the matter?" She asked.
Milo shook his head. "Nothing, nothing."
Mark picked Lily back up. "Ok, you saw her. Now it's time to get rid of Skulls and Lily." He sighed.
"No! No! Get rid of Skulls, but not Lily!" Milo cried.
"What? Why? You said we'd get rid of both of them." Mark stated.
"Um..." Milo hesitated for a second. "Lily is... really nice." He said at last.
"Oh? Well, in that case, I guess we could keep Lily. But that wouldn't be fair! What about Skulls?" Said Mark as he set Lily back down.
"Fair? I think it's totally fair! Skulls hast to go because he's a jerk. Lily gets to stay because she is so nice." Milo meowed.
"I guess... alright then. Milo, stay here with Lily. I'll go... get rid of... Skulls..." Mark sighed and picked Skulls up.
"Hey! Put me down!" Skulls hissed as he scratched at Mark.
Mark new it was right to let him go. Skulls wasn't any good staying here and bullying cats. Mark would truly miss him, though.
As soon as Mark stepped out the door, Milo turned awkward and shy.
"Hey, Lily..." Milo meowed.
"Hey, Milo! What do you wanna do?" Lily cheered.
Lily's voice sounded so sweet and cheerful. And Lily's fur was sparkling beautiful.
"Um... you choose..." Milo said, trying to be as casual as possible.
"Ok! In the animal shelter I used to play truth or dare with my friends. Maybe we could play it too!" Lily cheered.
"Sure." Said Milo.
"I'll go first. Truth or dare, Milo."
"Um... dare."
"I dare you to... jump off the fridge!"
"Um, isn't that kind of dangerous?"
Lily looked at Milo.
"Ok, fine. I'll do it." Milo climbed on the table, onto the counter, onto the cutting boards, and finally, onto the fridge. When Milo looked down, it was a VERY high jump. Should Milo do this? Well, if he does, he'll definitely impress Lily! Lily will think Milo has super powers! Lily will love him!
Milo took a few deep breaths. He stepped forward, closed his eyes, and jumped.
