Skulls sat down on the carpet and looked at his dusty, old paws. His claws were so sharp, and he truly loved them. But now Skulls's claws had no use. Why did he need them anymore? After all, now he lives in a human house and all he does is sleep and eat dry food. When Skulls still lived in the forest, he used his claws to defend himself, catch prey, and scare his friends. But now, they're all useless. Should he cut his claws? They are getting kind of in the way when he's grooming.
Skulls decided at last that he wouldn't cut his claws. He couldn't. He shouldn't. They were much to precious for him. The second he was born he had these 2-inch long claws. Skulls would NEVER cut them off.
"Hey, Skulls. The human is going to get rid of you." Meowed Milo, walking over to Skulls with a big grin.
"I ain't believing you ol' bugger with your pity liddle paws and your pity liddle nose!" Hissed Skulls.
Milo new he would say that. "You're the one with the pity little paws and the pity little nose!" Milo hissed back at him.
Skulls slowly stepped forward and deeply said, "what did you just say?"
Milo gulped and backed away. "Nothing."
"That's what I thought." Skulls evilly laughed and pretended to scratch Milo's neck.
The frightened orange cat ran away and sat down next to Mark on the sofa.
"Oh, hey, Milo." Mark casually said as he read the newspaper.
"So, when are you going to get rid of Skulls?" Asked Milo as if Mark had already agreed to do so.
"Milo! We are NOT getting rid of Skulls, ok? I have a better plan." Stated Mark as he set down the newspaper on the table.
"What?" Asked Milo.
"We are going to get another cat. But it will be a girl cat. And the girl cat must look and be very similar to Skulls. That way, Skulls might fall in love with the girl cat and forget about being mean to you. Maybe he'll even be so happy with the girl cat that he'll turn nicer! And then they can have kittens! And then we can play with the kittens! They'll be so cute! Awww! I can already feel their fluffy kitten fur!"
"Ok, Mark, don't get carried away by the thought of kittens. That plan might work, but it's kind of risky. What if the girl cat is mean too, then we'll have TWO mean cats to deal with!" Meowed Milo.
"True, but I still think we should give it a shot. We don't have many other options to pick from." Said Mark.
"Ok, let's try it. But if it doesn't work, we're getting rid of BOTH of them."
"Deal."
