Emma's POV

Last day of  junior year

We got knew schedules when we came back from Christmas break, and since then I haven't had any classes with any of my friends. When a teacher was absent, we'd have to go sit in another  class - of that subject - and rarely would a friend be in that class. Today was one of those lucky days. I was originally supposed to be in Chemistry with Coach Price but he was out today, so instead I was in Coach Wilson's Chemistry class along with Lee.

Since it was the last day before summer, we were given some color sheets to do just to keep us busy. We were able to sit were we wanted - a good thing, even though it was the last day - so I sat beside Lee.

"What are you gonna do this summer?" he asked.

I thought about it. Killian and I made a few plans to go to the fair that was in town, but besides that, I don't think I was going to be doing anything else. I finally answered with a "nothing, you?"

He shook his head. "Me either. This is going to be one boring summer."

I didn't know what to say so I just said, "yup."

Lee did a quick jump and at first I just though it was chills, but then he turned to me.

"How about we do something this summer?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

He just shrugged. "I don't know what I mean, I just don't want to sit all bored at home this summer."

"I'm sure we'd come up with something to do in the middle of it."

"Yeah you're probably right, but I just want to know I have something to look forward to doing something now," he said.

I thought for a moment.

"Killian and I are going to the fair a couple times, maybe all of us could do something like that," I suggested.

He nodded. "Sounds great. Now we just got to talk to everyone else about it."

"Yuppers."

"Hey I have an idea," he said after a few minutes have passed.

"What?"

"Well... Nova has been wanting to go on a date," there was a pause, he looked a little nervous - something I've never seen on him. "Would you and Killian like to do a double date?"

"Sure, why not?"

"Nova's been wanting to get to know yo- wait you said you'd do it?" he looked utterly confused.

I nodded. "Yeah, why wouldn't I say we'd do it?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. I just thought you'd say no."

I smiled. "Well I said yes, of course I'd have to ask Killian but I'm sure he'd love too. Now what were you saying about Nova wanting to what?"

"Oh. I was just saying she's wanted to get to know you since you've moved here, but she has been really busy. And actually she was the one that wanted for us to go on a double date, but I forgot about it until you mentioned the fair," he said with a small smile on his face.

To most people they probably would have thought what he said about Nova wanting to get to know me to be a lie, but I knew it wasn't. I've talked to her a couple times, they were just really short. Her parents volunteered a lot and sometimes that included traveling to he, so she would go with them.
