Emma's POV
The rest of summer went by in a blur. It was now the first day back to school. My senior year! That was the only thing that got me up this morning when my alarm went off. That and how I get to see all my friends at once today.
Ruby had texted me earlier saying how she was going to pick me up. I didn't complain because then I didn't have to ride the bus. Killian sometimes picks me up but being in football, sometimes he has to be at school earlier for practices.
Ruby: I'll be there in five minutes. Be ready this time!
Great! I just down the stairs and into the kitchen when I saw her text. Luckily it was just sent. But now I won't get to eat any breakfast! Dang it.
"Moring, Emma. Do yo-" I didn't even hear the rest of what David was saying before I was out the door.
"That was not five minutes," I said to Ruby once I got in her car.
She shrugged. "Yeah, yeah. Can you blame me though? It's our senior year!"
I was so happy to almost be done with high school. I don't think I've ever really wanted to be out of somewhere fast enough. Okay that's a lie, but come on - it's school for crying out loud.
"True. You're lucky I like you."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Emma, you have a boyfriend."
I poked her arm. "You know what I meant," I said laughing. This was something that she and I would do on a normal basis.
We got to the school and she had to look for her parking spot. We did three laps around before she finally found it and parked.
"You didn't think to come a day early just to see where you were going to park?" asked a person from behind us. Of course I knew who's voice it was and the laughter in it.
"Shut up, Tink," Ruby said in response.
"Hello to you too."
I left them to their bickering to see if I could find our other friends. Sure enough I saw Regina and Robin sitting under the tree we normally meet up at in the mornings, and where we eat lunch.
"Hey guys," I said as I made my way over to them.
Regina jumped up and wrapped me in a hug. "Gosh, I missed you guys over the summer."
Robin then came over and joined us in the hug, and so did Ruby and Tink when they made it over there to us.
"Guys, I need to breathe," I said. We all laughed and luckily they all backed away. I did miss those hugs over the summer if I was honest though.
"How was everyone's summer?" Ruby asked, taking the spot where Regina was sitting before she got up.
Tink and I shrugged considering the three of us spent most of it together. She was mainly asking Regina and Robin. They were supposed to have went camping somewhere all summer. I don't really remember where.
"It was nice," Regina said and Robin nodded in agreement.
I wasn't paying much attention to whatever they were now talking about, then it hit me. I left my schedule at home. I so blame Ruby.
"Awwh someone is missing their boyfriend," I head Tink and Ruby chorus at the same time.
I shook my head. "No, I was just think of how it is Ruby's fault that I left my schedule at home."
