Chapter 27; time skip & oh

TIME SKIP

"Maybe I overreacted but Jess...he's fucking annoying and I need some girl time so I'll see you when I land."

I hang up the phone and walked through security at the airport. I sat down, put my earphones in and waited for my flight to board.

I felt a bit nauseous when I boarded the plane but there was no turning back now.

I sat on my assigned seat and soon enough I was up in the clouds, leaving my home behind for a while.

"FAYE!"

I turned around and saw Jess frantically waving at me. I almost dropped my bag when I started running towards her. It's been quite a while since we've last seen each other.

Ok maybe a couple months but that felt like an eternity.

"Ahh, I can't believe you're here!" She exclaimed as soon as I had jumped into her arms, hugging her to death.

"Alex is waiting in the car because he's not allowed to park where he's waiting right now and he has enough tickets...unpaid may I add."

I laughed and she took my bag, leading me to the car.

"How's college treating you?" I asked, interested.

"It pretty much sucks but the parties are great especially the ones me & Alex are throwing." She grinned and I shook my head laughing.

Soon enough we reached the car and I got in the backseat, leaning over to give Alex a tight squeeze before he drove off.

"And how's life treating you?" Alex asked.

"Great. Harry's driving me insane and this stupid cat I got him for Christmas won't stop pissing on my clothes. That I do keep inside my closet may I add. However, she always finds a way to sneak inside and take a piss."

Alex' & Jess' laughter filled the car but it was far from amusing.

"I think it's cute that you got him a cat. He loves cats." Jess smiled.

"I swear he loves her more than me. God dammit I should've got him those stupid socks he wanted."

"You're not 17 anymore. You're 20. Grow up. It's a damn cat."

"Wow. What crawled up your ass? Is it that time of the month?" I asked, making her even more pissed off.

"It is. Now shut up or I put a postmark on your ass and ship you back to your beloved cat."

"Damn. Okay."

"Ladies. Chill. Let's enjoy Faye's hopefully short stay here in sunny LA and not fight like three year olds." Alex said and I saw the amused look on his face through the rear mirror.

"Shut up." Jess & I said at the same time.

Minutes later we arrived at a cute little apartment complex and Alex & Jess gave a tour through their small apartment. It suited them well. The interior was very modern but not high tech and it made me feel welcome the second I stepped into their home.

The rest of the day we spend telling each other stories from our lifes and in the evening they showed me around the neighborhood which was lovely.

"Good night, Faye!" Alex & Jess yelled from their room.

"Night!" I replied and settled down on the couch.

As I pulled the blanket up to my chest I saw my phone light up on the table so I reached over to grab it.

Incoming call. Babe 💗

I didn't have the energy right now to speak to him so I pressed the decline button and shut my phone off.

I just can't believe him.

It's multiple things that pissed me off. For starters he quit my job in my name just because they wouldn't let me take a week off in June. Apparently Harry had booked a trip in June for us but when I asked my boss if I could take a week off he said two of my coworkers already took time off in that time so it wasn't possible.

I mean, Harry could've asked me beforehand instead of planning a trip and thinking that I was free whenever he got some time off.

Now I have to get a new job and finding the one I had was already a struggle.

The second thing was when he didn't show up to my little brothers birthday party. Jaxon adored Harry so of course he was disappointed and sad when Harry didn't show up.

Jaxon turned 7 three weeks ago and it was very important for me to have Harry there with me because my parents still don't approve of our relationship.

I had countless of fights with them these past two years and when they found out that me and Harry met when I was just 17 they didn't talk to me for almost three months.

These two main things and the fight about his working hours this morning lead to me taking the next flight to LA.

I needed some time apart even though I already miss him more than anything. I hated being away from him.

Soon enough I fell asleep with nothing hut Harry on my mind.

"Oh my god! Yes I remember! Also when Liz and her summer fling Ben would have this dramatic break up at the end of the summer. It was sad but so hilarious at the same time." Jess laughed.

"I also remember the night Harry surprised you at the beach and you guys doing the nasty in the room right fucking next to Alex & mine." She added with her eyebrows raised.

"Oh shut it. We heard you guys doing it every night. Don't pretend to be the innocent one here." I fired back and we burst out laughing at all these memories.

Alex was at work and Jess and I had a quiet morning that consisted of us talking about all of our memories that came to mind.

Suddenly my mood changed when I started feeling a little nauseous.

"You good?" Jess asked.

"Ugh, yea." I nodded but got up to quickly get to the bathroom. I opened the lid of the toilet and kneeled down, breathing heavily until my breakfast decided to not stay in my tummy anymore.

"Jesus Faye. Are you sick?" I heard Jess asking as I flushed the toilet and washed my mouth to get rid of the dosgisting taste.

"I don't think so." I said and laid down on the couch.

"Well, just to be sure...when was the last time you had your period?"

I turned my head to look at her with a bored glance and rolled my eyes. She's got to be kidding me.

I wouldn't be having them for like another we-wait. What day is it? May something. May 13th. Oh.

"That look explained it all. Let's go." Jess said and grabbed me arm to pull me to the next drug store down the block.

I mean, it was bound to happen sooner or later and since I ran out of ideas it's sooner rather than later. 😂😂😂
