I closed my eyes and was immediately transported to you.
We were in a dimly lit room with the moon peeking in through the curtains that were currently dancing with the wind.

You lit each candle one by one, before joining me on the bed. Your warm, caramel coloured hands wrapped around me as you pulled me into your hard chest.

I could feel your heart through my shoulder and your hands rubbed circles on my thighs.
"I love you," the words flew from my mouth before I could even blink.

I sucked them back in , keeping them close as if for warmth not wanting to let them go.

"Speak!" Your coarse words grinded against my skin giving me goose bumps.

Still I kept my mouth shut. You pushed me away, but I fought you. If I could force you into my embrace, I would.

"Say it!"
You kept me at bay as the tears cascaded down my cheeks and I choked out a sob.
The storm clouds in your eyes cleared, the waters calmed and pulled me towards you enveloping me with your heat.

"Say it," you said gently and they came out like a flood. "I love you."

You laughed, a sound I wanted  to hear every single day of my life. You stared into my eyes and opened your mouth. " I lo - "

The words fell short as I was snapped out of my fantasy. The buzz of reality flowed back into me as I came out of my haze.

I trail of ice slid down my cheeks as I realized again that you were nothing but a daydream.
