(I know no one requested this and I have requests I should be doing but I made this so...)
It was just about the end of another school year for Wendy. Prom night was in a couple of days and everyone had a date, everyone but Wendy. Yes, Wendy has dated a lot of people before but those relationships failed. Now, she was the only one in her group of friends that wasn't going with anybody. Even Thompson was going with someone!
Currently Wendy was sitting behind the register at the Mystery Shack feeling lonely and depressed. She opened and closed the machine sighing to herself as Soos came in after fixing a lightbulb.
"Dude, why the long face?" Soos asked Wendy then came over to her. Wendy just sighed and hid her face on the counter as she mumbled words to him. "Sorry, I can't hear you with your face hiding from me." Soos told her.
Wendy looked up and frowned her eyebrows at him. "I don't have a date to prom," she told him with frustrated tone as she sat up. "And literally everyone else has one." She pointed out the window and a couple was walking by holding hands and looking at each other.
Soos look at Wendy with sympathy. "Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I didn't go to prom with anyone either."
"Whaaaat?" Wendy said in disbelief. "A sweet guy like you, couldn't get a date to prom?" She raised a brow and folded her arms. "That's hard to believe."
"It's true dude." Soos held up a photo of a DJ. "I was gonna be the DJ, since I didn't have a date, but some dude already got the job." He put the photo away back in his pocket.
"Aw man, that must've sucked," Wendy said unfolding her arms.
"Nah," Soos said brushing it off. "I got to stay home with Abuela and eat dinosaur cookies." He smiled at the memory.
"I wish I could be as positive as you about stuff like this." Wendy leaned back in her chair with folded arms again and looked outside. "I always imagined prom night would be a blast."
Soos looked at Wendy then started scratching his arm. "I could go with you if-"
"Really?" She turned to face Soos with a smile appearing on her face.
"Yeah dude!" Soos gave her a thumbs up.
Wendy looked at him for a few seconds before coming over and hugged him like a giant plushie. "Thank you," she thanked him. Soos was taken aback by this but hugged her back and smiled.
Stan walked in the room and saw Soos and Wendy hugging each other. "Not even gonna ask," he said walking back out the way he came.
