Just after Melissa woke up from her nap, she checked her phone to see the time and it was already 7. Wow. She had been sleeping a lot.

"It's probably stress." She thought. She got out of bed and put on some shoes. After that she grabbed her purse and went downstairs. She petted Farley and Drift, who were sleeping peacefully on their beds, but instantly woke up when Melissa petted their heads. Melissa didn't bring Farley's bed all the way from San Diego because she preferred buying a new one there, but actually Chris had done her the favor of buying one for both Farley and Drift.

"How was your nap? Are you feeling better?" Chris asked from behind. Melissa turned to face him.

"It was good. I'm feeling a lot better. I don't know what happened but I'm sure I will be fine." She said, trying not to overthink the situation. "I'm really glad you're feeling better..." He said, with a genuine smile. "But I'm getting worried about the whole 'pill thing'." He added. "I'm sure it's nothing..." She said, walking to the couch. She placed her purse on the coffee table in front of the couch, and sat down.

"If something like that happens again, just tell me okay?" He said, scratching his short-trimmed beard. Melissa nodded and smiled. She loved how Chris was worrying about her. He was showing her that he really cared.

"My nap was long as heck, oh God..." She suddenly said, just after she checked the time on her phone once again. "Nah it wasn't too long. Don't worry. And it's okay that you sleep. Sleeping is good. Right? Sleeping beauty...?" Said Chris with a grin on his face. Melissa giggled at the nickname he had called her and blushed slightly.

"Should we call Chyler and ask her if we can go get a fro-yo earlier than planned?" He said, trying to change the subject. "Yeah. Actually, I'm going to call her to see if she can take me to a car rental. I can't live without a car." She said. "And then we'll come to pick you up. And we can leave one car here."

"Maybe I can go with you guys. That way we'll go directly from the fro-yo place to the car rental." He said, smiling. Melissa smiled at his suggestion.

"Yeah but it would be easier to come back here to leave-" She said, getting interrupted. "The car. Whoopsie, I forgot about that." He said, running his hand through the back of his neck.

"It's okay." She said, before she let out a chuckle. "Let's just... let's do what you said." She said smiling. Her smile being the cutest thing Chris had ever seen. It was cuter than a puppy chasing its tail. He didn't know why he hadn't realized that Melissa's smile was really beautiful. Maybe he did, but he just didn't think about it too much

"Okay. So I'll go with you and then we'll go to the car rental." He said, getting his mind off the own universe of his thoughts. He smiled just after words left his lips. Melissa smiled back, and in that moment he felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. Did he feel butterflies in his stomach? No that's way too cheesy. He thought.

"Okay. Let me call her." She said, moments before calling Chyler.

Melissa walked around while she talked to Chyler, and Chris couldn't stop staring. He was staring in awe. A small smile forming on his lips. The way she did things was special. She was special, and Chris was starting to love that.

"Done." She said, walking back to Chris. "Huh?" He said, coming back into reality.

"Chyler's picking us up in a few minutes. Are you ready?"

"Uh- yes. I'm just gonna go get my phone and my wallet." He said, walking to his room. Melissa nodded and smiled.

When Chris came out of his room they both went to the TV room and sat on the couch. Both of them were looking scrolling through their Instagram feed. But to make things fun, Melissa sent Chris a selfie of herself making a funny face. When Chris saw the picture he laughed out loud, but didn't say anything. Instead, he took a selfie doing the same face as Melissa, and sent it to her. Melissa laughed out loud too. They ended up making funny faces to each other and laughing at their goofiness.
