Chapter 13

Later tonight, we're in the car on my way to my parent's house. Peter's hand is on my thigh, I'm not nervous at all to tell Dad and Trina, "So, I was thinking we could tell my family tonight then tell your family tomorrow morning." I break the silence. "Sure, I'll call my mom when we get home." He says. When we pull into the driveway we see Kitty's car. Good so everyone is hopefully here tonight. After last time we knock before going in, Trina opens the door, "Oh my god! Look who it is!!" She pulls me in for a hug. "Hi Trina!" I say, Peter's still calls her Mrs. Rothschild, but she insists that he at least calls her Mrs. Covey. "Hi Trina," He closes the door after I go in. I see Kitty on the couch watching a movie, and daddy is in the kitchen. "Hey Dad." I say running over to him and I hug him. "Hey LJ." He says. Kitty's paused the movie and ran over to Peter, "Hi Peter," She says hugging him. We chat in the kitchen for a while. We decide to play a cards game, I thought this would be the perfect time to tell them. We're all sitting around the coffee table, Peter starts talking first "We have something to tell you guys."
My dad looks up from dealing the cards. "I'm pregnant!" I blurt. Kitty jumps up and hugs me right away, and so does Trina and Dad. "That's great! Congratulations you two!" Dad says. I show them the sonogram we got today at the appointment. We stayed and talked for a while and forgot all about the card game. "It's kind of getting late, I think we're gonna head out." Peter says, I can tell he wants to get home soon. "Oh, by the way, I'm also pregnant." Trina blurts out. "OMG! Congrats! How far along are you?" I ask. "Almost 3.5 months." She's smiling. I had thought Trina had gained a little bit of weight, but I never expected that she'd be pregnant! I'm so happy for her! I'm going to have a new brother or sister and a new baby all around the same time!!
