This takes place during Volume 2 when they're eating at the resturant, when you first meet the Young Avengers. You and Loki have known each other for a long time, and were partners when you were Agents for Asgard. You were sorta a thing.
Also, Loki isn't a kid, he's like a 20 year old and looks like he does after Billy does the magic thing on Volume 3.
Y/LN=your last name
Second person POV--------------------------------------------
"This is really good Loki!" Billy said as he ate his noodles.
"I know right! Earth 12-12, Korean town. Fun fact, this is the first place me and Miss. America had our first business meeting! Even fried meat wasn't enough to keep her from punching me through the wall!" Loki explained as he pointed to the wall with his thumb.
"Well, you do have a very punchable face." Kate said as she tilted Loki's crown (is it a crown?).
"I know right!" Loki said. Out of the corner of his eye, Loki sees her. The girl. And I mean the girl. The only one he was able to love. The only one who was able to love him.You sit at the bar, legs dangling from the stool, sipping a rather colorful (but fully loaded) drink. You've been tracking him ever since your dead parents showed up, called you a disappointment, tried to kill you, and then you killed them. It was weird and sad, as you can expect. You've been staring at him all night to get his attention...so you can yell at him. Yeah, that's it, yell at him. Nothing else. I mean it's gotta be his fault, dead parents aren't just resurrected for no reason. And if anyone knows about resurrecting, it's Loki. You drink through your straw as you wait. You see your target enter with what seems to be companions.
Strange, you think.
He's laughing, smiling, and looks like he's having a good time. I thought I was the only able to do that. Not jealous of course, but he has... friends now? Strange indeed. You stare at him as he drinks his sparkling water. Stare with determination and purpose: to find out what the hell is going on.
He finally notices you, still stuffing his face, he stares at you. You raise an eyebrow and turn to face the bar.Loki POV
I panic. I don't know what to do. I wasn't prepared! In the name of Odin's beard why did it have to be now. I still remember when she had to leave Asgard. We were on a mission, a dangerous one. She saved my life, by breaking the rules of course. She faced banishment from Asgard, it wouldn't have worked out. But now she's here. Why though? Oh... NO.
"Excuse me for one moment." I say to the Young Avengers as I get up. They notice, assume I'm going to the bathroom, they go back to talking. I make my way to the bar, take a deep breath, and prepare for the worst.Your POV
"Hey..."
"Don't 'Hey' me, stupid. The only reason I'm even talking to you is because you did...something."
"I've done some pretty questionable things this past week, so you're gonna have to be a bit more specific." Loki says, lowering himself onto a stool.
"Does dead parents coming back to life ring any bells?"
"Okay before you freak out-"
"Kay I'm gonna cut you off right there and ask you one question. What the hell is going on?"
Loki sighs. He explains the whole thing to me. Something about an alternate reality parasite mom...
-------------------
"So you're telling me that an inter dimensional parasite came to this universe by you and some other kid, what was it, Wiccan? fucking up a spell and the spell tying itself to us 8 kids by making our dead parents come to life and you have no idea how to fix it?"
"You forgot the part where there's another... thing dressed up as 'The Patriot' who took Wiccans brother and is leading us all around the multiverse." Loki said matter of factly.
"Oh, how could I forget?" I say in a sarcastic tone. Out of the corner of my eye I see Loki smile.
"What?" I say accusingly towards his strange behavior.
"Nothing, it's just... you haven't changed." He says longingly, as if thinking of a lost memory. I mean, that's exactly what we are.
A lost memory."Actually, I have. You just haven't been around to see it." I say, glaring at the bar counter, desperately trying not to look at his emerald eyes which I can feel searching me for answers.
"I'm sorry. I really am." He says. And I knew he meant it. I could hear it in his voice.
"I know you are." I glance at him and see a longing, almost sad look on his face.
"So how do you plan on fixing this mess?" I lean back slightly and look at him, curious of the plan he may or may not have.
"Well, you can come with us on that journey to figuring out just what we're supposed to do!" He says, a sly almost sarcastic look on his face.
I slightly grin.
"You're joking right?"
"Come on! What's the worst that could happen?"
"I can't go on an inter dimensional adventure with you!" I say flustered.
"Why not?" His voice disappointed, but his face showing determination.
"I have college! And S.H.I.E.L.D!"
"Wouldn't you rather join me and my group of intellectual colleagues?" He gestures an arm towards the table of young adventurers. I turn my head and see a boy with brown hair whisper something and then a blue beam of light make a chopstick levitate on top of what appears to be a tower of chopsticks; a woman with black hair in a purple suit groans and hands a $5 bill to a tall guy with blonde hair who has his hands in the air, celebrating; a kid in a black and yellow suit laughing and a boy with silver hair adding one more chopstick to the top of the tower, trying his best not to make it fall.
"...they look like idiots."
"Well, you're not far off. They are a little on the dull side." Loki says, again, matter of factly.
"I mean, fun, capable idiots."
"Well you could say that... so what's it gonna be Y/LN?" He gives me an expecting, curious, hopeful look.
I contemplate everything that's happened in the last year and a half. Falling for Loki, losing him, him not trying to get into my life, knowing that I needed space. Me focusing on myself, thinking I'm just better off alone than with a team of people.
.....I think I'm ready now. Ready to start again. Ready to ignite an old flame, ready to regain a lost memory.
Ready to be apart of something. Ready to not be alone in this hero thing.
"Okay. Yeah... yeah okay. I'll go with you."
"Wait... really? Wow! This is surprising. I honestly thought you were gonna be really stubborn and I'd have to sit here all night trying to convince you to come." He said shocked but happy.
"Shut up and introduce me before I change my mind." I say standing up, smoothing out my clothes and looking in the young adults direction.
"Alrighty then. Ahh yes. The dynamic duo back together again. A lost memory being regained." He leads me to the direction of the so called Young Avengers. This one was a lil messy and not much of a love thing bc it was my first and I'm still trying to figure out my writing pattern/style. Also it's almost 1 am so if I spelled something wrong sorry, and I'll blame the terrible writing skills on the fact that I'm tired as fuck. Not sure when I'll update next.
