James sighed as he watched his boyfriend order people around. "Thomas, maybe if you chilled out for five seconds-"

"JAMES I CAN'T CHILL THIS VENUE NEEDS TO LOOK FESTIVE AS FUCK!" Thomas Jefferson's hair was a mess, which was not far off from the rest of his look. He was wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, with blinking lights, and a winking Santa. This sweater was completed with the phrase "Where my ho's at?", and Thomas had bought it with pride. He thought he was hilarious. James thought he was stupid, especially with random sequins glued to his pants, and green elf shoes, that shook little bells with each anxious step he took. This crazed man had many people under his authority, Laurens, Lafayette, Madison, the Schuyler sisters, Hercules Mulligan, and the worst of all... Alexander.

"It will! We have two hours until Mr. Washington gets here... look, Alex is coming back..." He pointed Thomas in the direction of what seemed to be three boxes with Alexander's legs. The short man's upper half was completely obstructed from view. Apparently this view wasn't only the view of his colleagues, but also the view of the next step, as Alex missed, and went crashing down.

"Alex!" Eliza cried out, as she ran towards her fallen husband. She moved some of the boxes off of him, cringing at the one or two boxes crushed by him.

"Betsey, I'm fine!" He claimed, waving his wife off. I feel nauseous, but isn't that just because I have to see Jefferson. After getting the boxes off of him, he tried to stand. Tried, is the keyword here. Did it work? Of course not. His leg felt like it was cracking like a glowstick. It all hurt, and burned.

"Uh... Alex, maybe we should go to the-" Eliza started, before getting cut off.

"No! If I die, I die with dignity!" He exclaimed, then winced. Hercules and Peggy came down the stairs, Peggy bringing up the crushed boxes, as Hercules righted the crushed man.

"Hospital. Now. You're not going to enjoy any Christmas party until we make sure you're alright." Mulligan said sternly. As Hamilton's first friend since coming to America, he had some sway. Also, Mulligan literally had Alexander in his grasp, whether he wanted to or not, it didn't matter. The small man was going nowhere.

"I'll start the car." Eliza offered, before jogging off. Meanwhile, up the stairs, Jefferson was having a total meltdown.

"Thomas, just calm down! It'll be okay, I'm sure Mr. Washington will understand." Peggy tried to say, as Thomas was unleashing a plethora of curses on Hamilton's name and family. It was hard to tell what Mr. Washington thought. He always kept things professional, serious. Thomas dreaded what would happen when Mr. Washington walked through the- Fuck. Was that him???

"What happened here???" Mr. Washington's voice echoed in the main hall. He came up the stairs, surveying the damage. He had a plain black sweater vest and black dress pants. The Santa hat he had on top was about as festive as he got. "What on earth? Thomas, was someone murdered?"

"No! This is all Alex! He fell down the stairs, and I... I... Mr. Washington, I'm so sorry, I just wanted to through the perfect party, and he had to ruin it-" he blubbered, as he crumpled beneath his boss's gaze.

"Is he alright?" He asked calmly. He didn't show it much, but he cared deeply about all the employees. "Did he get to a hospital?"

"He should be." Angelica chimed in. They idly chatted as they waited for a response from Hercules and Eliza. They'd be staying a lot longer, and Alex had a pretty bad break in his leg.

In the end, Jefferson never got his perfect Christmas party. But the nurses got a good laugh at his sweater. The venue may have been different, but the people were all there. Unfortunately, that meant Alex, as his surgery was tomorrow.
