Jane POV

I wake up on a black tree with dark purple moss spread across. When I pick my head up I notice that the purple moss was spread from the tree, to my body.

I quickly start scratching it off, an I look down hill to see Nina facing my way with a tree holding her up. She's asleep and the moss is on her stomach.

"Nina! Nina get up!" I yell and throw a stick.

Her body jerks and she opens her eyes looking around frantically.

"Nina get that stuff off your stomach we don't know what it is!" My fingers are ripping pieces of purple moss off my skin, and it's actually starting to burn!

"Jane!" Nina screams as the rest of her skin slowly forms purple moss.

"What the hell....!?" It burns so bad, you would feel like you just got sun burn, and someone slapped your arm really hard with lemon juice.

My body falls down hill, and so does Nina. We collapse in a huge deep, moist whole with roots all over the floor. The burn is slowly going away, every time the roots scrape against the moss.

"Rub yourself in this, it'll go away!" Nina yells and we try our best to rub our skin with these roots.

"How will we get back up?" Nina and I look from where we stand to the top of the whole, where we dropped from. "There has to be some type of way..."

We scavenger around in this dark whole looking for some way out, but all we find are super thick roots.

"Maybe we don't go up..."

"Nina that's ridiculous what do you mean?"

"Maybe we go down?" Nina's foot steps on a thick root, and she falls into what seems like another never ending whole.

"NINA!"

All I see is the pink highlight in her hair slowly fade away. Not to sound like a complete wimp, but a tear falls from my eye.

"What will I do now?"

Only one thing. Closing my eyes and counting down from three, I jump head first down the never ending whole.

Ejs POV

"Well what do you mean 'They happened'?"

"Nina and Jane tied me up, and doodled off. I'm not sure where they went either."

"Lets just walk around, and see what we can find."

"CAN WE GO!!!?" Sally and Ben plead with puppy eyes.

"No." Jeff flicks their heads and the frown.

"Yes, you guys can come." I reassure them.

They cheer and we all walk out the door.

"Maybe they went to visit somebody?"

"Like who?" I ask with narrowed eyes.

"Hm... Maybe they went to the human world to get some kills in?"

"Or the traded their lives for all of yours." An evil voice creeps behind us.

Jeff POV

Now who the hell sounds like that? We turn around to see a servant of Zalgo's who has an unremovable grin. In fact it's way bigger than mine and I envy it!

"What do you mean?" Ej asks.

"Lord Zalgo wanted to relay a message. Your 'girlfriends' won't be home for awhile. You may even consider never. Do not go looking for them, or they will be killed. Continue your immortality, until further notice."

The weird beast is gone.

"Are you okay Jeff?" Ben touches my elbow.

"His face was so gorgeous! And...and... What does he mean don't go looking for them?"

"We should give it three days. If they're not back before then, then we can go looking for them."

"Sorry Ej, but I can't do that. That's your way, not mine." I storm off Ito the woods still looking around for Jane and Nina.

Maybe I should go to the Capitol.
