Chapter 18

Zoey's POV:

It was one Saturday morning and my dad had told me to get dressed! Most of the time when my dad tells me to get ready on a Saturday, that means we are going somewhere

As I got ready I put on skinny jeans with a black shirt and a pink scarf. As we all got in the car except for Zach because he was at a baseball game!

"Where are we going?" I asked

" We are going to church." My dad replied

"Which one?"

I get confused because my dad is still preaching at our original church untill we move!

" New." My dad snapped back

As we drove to church I was wondering why we are coming!

"Dad why are we going to church?"

" The youth are getting together to introduce themselves, it's more for you not for me."

Wait no one told me about getting to know anyone!

As we pulled in the parking lot, I got that same feeling in my stomach as I did the first time I came.

I walk into the "youth room" the same place as Sunday school was and sat down on the couch!

It was about 5 minutes untill people showed up. I wasn't really paying attention to anyone untill a boy walked in!

It was the same guy that I thought was cute. With the sandy blonde hair and blue eyes! Gosh I would love to know his name!

He walked in with two girls, one on the right and one on the left!

They all sit down and the guy looked me right in the eyes! It was a bit weird since I didn't know him!

My dad began to talk! I wasn't really paying attention untill he said let's go around and say our names and something you like to do!

The circle went around and I said my name is Zoey and umm i dont know. I'm never good at saying something about me and plus I don't know these people! Finally the circle got around to the boy!

He started to turn red and didn't say anything! I was kinda scared. Was he shy?

" My name is Dylan, most people call me D, and I like to play soccer."

Wow so his name is Dylan! Well I'm gonna get to know Dylan if it is the last thing it do.

The girl beside him with long brown hair and brown eyes said

"My name is Jena and I like to write!"

I never knew what it was like to sit down and write! I wouldn't know what to say!

It was over and my mom was talking to the adults so I decided to go outside! Whenever my mom gets to talking we normally stay forever!

I sit on the stairs texting Roselind! She told me she couldn't make it because she was at the mall getting a phone! I'm so happy for her! It took forever to convince her mom!

Just then I heard a door open. It was Dylan!

He looked at me with his bright blue eyes and then began to turn red!

Im not shy at all so I say

" so you like soccer?"

He kinda paused for a second and seemed confused on why I am talking to him when we don't even know eachother.

"Yes." He replied.

"That's cool, I play soccer all the time."

Not really. The last time I played was in 5th grade, over a year ago. I still know some skills though!

"Do you really?" With a look on his face

"Yes? Why do you not believe me!" I said with a flirting voice!

" I have a ball in my car, my parents are talking so they will be a while, you wanna play?" With a smile on his face!

"Sure!"

We began to play, after a couple of seconds I try to get to know him!

"So what's your last name?" I asked

" Vard." He replied " and yours?"

" Vest, but you already knew that!" I said with a cute smile!

He smiled back like he knew I was joking!

The brown hair girl came out and said

"Dylan pass me the ball."

Gosh she is already taking my thunder! What if they like eachother?

" How long have y'all been friends?" I asked

Dylan replied with a look " She is my sister!"

Oh thank goodness that is a relief!

"Oh nice!"

We began to drive home and just as I got home I got a notification on my Ipod! I really wish I could have a iPhone so I don't have to have a phone and a iPod!

" Dylan Vard would like to be your friend on Facebook!"

I of course clicked yes and just then it said

"Dylan Vard: hey."

OMG is he talking to me! This could be a start of something good!
