"Alright Rex, what's so important that you brought us all the way back here," Anakin irritably remarked, stopping in his tracks as soon as the words escaped his mouth. His bright blue eyes marveled in disbelief at what was before him. The hologram in front of Obi-wan and him displayed two figures, one Mandalorian-looking warrior, and the other, a Togruta, but Anakin could recognize this Togruta from anywhere. Judging by the lengths of her blue and white montrals and headtails, she appeared to be around eighteen years old. Her bright orange skin accompanied by white facial markings seemed so perfect to Skywalker. The Togruta in the hologram Rex had displayed turned around the meet General Skywalker's astonished face with her brown lips and deep blue eyes.
"Hello, Master, it's been a while," she returned, immediately turning to face Rex once again. Anakin placed his hand over his mouth in shock. This is the first time he had had any contact with Ahsoka ever since she left the Jedi order. She had finally found her way back to him. "Rex, I am sending you my current coordinates, I am glad to be of assistance for one more battle for the Republic, however, due to the Separatists rule on Shili, Bo and I may need some assistance escaping, please send them to the council and update them on my situation."
"Yes, Commander Tano!" Rex returned, saluting Ahsoka. He reached down to turn off the hologram projector as Anakin lurched toward Rex.
"Wait, Rex, stop, Ahsoka!" Anakin let out, desperate to speak to his former padawan, but he was too late, her image had disappeared.
"Anakin, control yourself!" Obi-wan commanded, grabbing Anakin's arm in attempt to comfort him. "It is clear someone has made their way back into the war, and I am sure your paths will cross again in no time, just show some patience." Anakin turned to meet Obi-wan.
"I am sorry Master, it is just in these times of war it is nice to see a familiar face still alive every once in a while," Anakin apologized, as a large smile began to spread across his face, "Rex, we shall contact the council immediately to discuss what to do about Shili."
"Already on it, general," Rex nodded and began to contact the council on the projector. Anakin could not believed what had just happened. It has been about a year since the most painful day of his life, since Ahsoka left the Jedi Order. While the day he lost his mother was the worst day of his life, this was different. The pain he felt when his padawan left was different, he had not felt like himself since. He felt emptiness and nothing has made him genuinely smile. He let his anger take over quite often. His anger for Bariss. His anger for the council. His anger for himself. He had to see her. He had to free himself of his pain that has been tormenting him every second this past year.
"Anakin, it's time," Obi-wan called, as a hologram of the Jedi council filled the room.
