"Christmas party?" Ha Eun cocks her head to a side in question.
"Yes, it's held at one of the hotels my family owns." Chenle explains.
The two were currently walking along the LED roses at DDP on a Friday night. The air was chilly and Ha Eun rubs her cold hands against one another.
"So, are you asking me to go?" She stops in her tracks and looks up and Chenle who had a troubled expression on his face.
"Well...its actually a party organised by Renjun hyung for many of our partners to come. I'm required to go, but you can choose not to."
"...I'll go." Ha Eun agrees, but to her surprise, he frowns.
"Are you sure? It's really not what you think it's like. It's not...a fun party." He says, and Ha Eun smiles.
"I'm up for it. Besides, it's a matter of time before I meet them, right? If I'm going to be...with you."
Chenle returns his gaze onto the smiling girl and his lips curved into a grin. It was just like Ha Eun to say that. "Alright then,"
Pausing, he adds, "But on one condition."
She looks up at him with curiosity. "What?"
"I'm choosing the dress you'll wear."

Finally, the day of the Christmas party arrived. Chenle was waiting impatiently at the entrance of the hotel for Ha Eun.
"Hey, calm down." Renjun, his brother, whispered to him as guests walked in and each of them greeted them.
"What?" Chenle asked, confused.
"You're obviously looking for Ha Eun. Greet the guests properly! She'll come, alright? I already told Mr Han to pick her up." He chides the younger one.
"N-No. Not really. I wasn't looking for her." The younger of the two stutters and the older one couldn't help but sigh.
There was a moment of hesitation until Renjun asks, "Are you really planning to do that today?"
Chenle huffs. "Of course."
"Hmm, okay. Good luck then." Renjun pats his younger sibling's back and smiles.
Just then, a familiar, lavish car pulls up at the entrance. The door opens with a click and a girl steps out from the car.
"Welcome—" Chenle looks up to greet the newly arrived guest, but his words are immediately cut off as his eyes met with hers.
"Oh, Ha Eun. You're here." Renjun strides up to the girl and scans her outfit, then glances back at Chenle who was still in shock in amusement.
The girl wore a plain white dress, paired with a pair of black flat shoes. Though simple, her outfit made her look like an angel that descended from the skies. Her hair was also styled into a loose bun with a few extra strands of curled hair falling onto her shoulders. Not to mention, she was also wearing the necklace Chenle gave her on Valentine's Day.

"You look decent," He says with a smile, then steps away from her.
"Yah, Chenle. Escort her in already, and close your mouth. I'll deal with greeting the guests."
Chenle blinks, and finally snaps out from his trance. "Y-Yeah, okay."
Ha Eun approaches him as he offered her his arm.
She grins, and accepts his offer.
The couple enters the hotel lobby and Ha Eun could already feel the eyes on her.
"You know, I feel a little nervous." She breathes out slowly.
Chenle chuckles. "Don't worry. You'll do fine, I know it."
They finally reach the two large doors that lead to the ballroom where the party would be held.
"Ready?"
She nods, and Chenle pushes the door open, leading her in.
All eyes were immediately on them.
Series of whispers erupted between the fellow guests and she could hear various things such as:
Who is she? Who's daughter is she? How is she related to the Zhong's heir?
And her nervousness only spiked up.
"It's about time I address the guests..." He murmurs to himself and takes her hand in his.
"Hey—wait, what? Chenle, I'll just wait—"
He climbs up the steps to a mini stage located at the front of the ballroom.
"Sorry, Ha Eun...but it is something I have to make it clear." He whispers to her before he inhaled a huge breath.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am Zhong Chenle, as you all might already know, and I do seek your attention as I have a very important announcement to make," His grip on her hand tightened.
"There is a lot of buzz today on who this lady beside me now is, and I am here to tell you that..."
He loosened his grasp on her hand and pulls her right beside him by her waist.
"She's my girlfriend." He says with pride.
There was a sudden outburst of exclaims until Chenle cut it off.
"Yes, there is no doubt, she's my partner. Therefore, I do wish that to the families to want to establish connections with mine through marriage would drop the idea immediately,"
His voice echoed throughout the entire room.
"As the only person I would want to be engaged with is her, the person standing next to me right now."
His grin widens, and he turns to face Ha Eun who had an evident blush on her face.
"This is my Christmas gift to you, Yoo Ha Eun. Merry Christmas."
