Chapter 8 - Laser Tag

                --James' POV--

        I took a deep breath and walked up to Aleks' office door. Why am I so nervous? I cleared my throat and rose my hand up to knock. As I went forward with my action his door swung open. I was face to face with a cheerful Sly.

"Oh hey James~. Whatcha' doin?"

        What are you doing here? "Oh I uh--, I was gonna see if Aleks wanted to do something. I'm pretty bored and everyone else seems busy."

        I looked at Eddie and his face seemed somewhat offended. Aleks walked out from behind him and noticed I was standing here.

"Hey Aleks.. Wanna go somewhere?"

"Uh sure I guess. Where?"

"Idunno. That's what we gotta find out."

        He shrugged his shoulders and pushed Eddie aside, waving his hand for me to follow him. I heard him scoff from behind us. We walked passed Seamus, who was drinking some 'water'. He looked at me and saw I was with Aleks. He smirked as he winked. Seamus was the only one who knew I.. I don't know. Have a crush on Aleks? That's the best way to put it.. I slid past Aleks once we reached the doors and held it open for him.

"Ladies first~" I sang with a smile.

        He groaned and walked through, slightly brushing my arm. I let the door close itself and followed behind him and got into the passenger seat of his car. When he started up the car the radio turned on and Linkin Park began to play.

        "Oh yeah this is my jam!" I giggled and began to sing along to the song.

"I tried so hard, and got so faaar~" Aleks looked over at me and laughed. I stopped singing and began laughing as well. He maneuvered his hand over to the volume and turned it down.

"Aw c'mon Aleks I know you love that song."

"Yeah sure. So where are we going to go? Anywhere in mind?"

        I shrugged my shoulders and lifted my phone in front of me to browse nearby places. Hmmm. Nope.. nope... HELL no.. ah here's one.

"Laser tag?" I looked over at him and smirked. He nodded and placed his hand out for directions. I opened the map and typed the address, handing him my phone after. He over-looked it and began to exit from the parking lot.

                --Story's POV--

        Once the two drove up to the laser tag parking lot, they grabbed their wallets and left the car. As they were heading towards the door, Aleks smiled and looked over at James.

"So since you're the one who wanted to do something, you're gonna pay for me too, right?" Aleks giggled and nudged him.

"Yeah right asshole. Do you think this is a date or something?" James smiled and glanced at Aleks, who was blushing furiously. He furrowed his brows and pursed his lips. James giggled and placed his hand upon Aleks' shoulder.

"Sure buddy. I'll pay for your cheap ass." 

        James once again held the door open for Aleks and followed in after. They reached the booth to pay and James handed the man the money to get inside. Once they walked in the only sounds you could hear were people laughing and running around. James and Aleks grabbed their vests and guns, choosing the opposite teams. James gave a competitive glare to Aleks and they went to the separate bases. 

        Aleks scoured the area trying to find James. Where the hell is he? He thought to himself, stealthily ducking and maneuvering around the barriers and pillars. Before he could make another move a shot was heard from behind him and his vest was lighting up. James stood before him with a smirk plastered on his face and his gun aimed towards Aleks. 

"You fucker!" Aleks jumped up and raised his gun to James, but jumped under cover when he heard other shots coming from around him.

"Oh shit!" James pressed himself to the pillar nearest to him, and peeked his head around the corner. A shot was fired and barely missed him.

"Fuck me.." he mumbled as he crouched and walked to a barrier, spotting Aleks not to far from him. He hadn't yet noticed James, and James took this chance to shoot him again. It missed and Aleks' head jerked up to where James was, he grinned and shot back. James got hit a couple times and sprung from his spot, attempting to run back to the base. Aleks wasn't going to let this happen and chased after his friend. Once he finally caught up, he leaped towards James and tackled him down. James shrieked and rolled himself over so he was on top. He looked down at Aleks and gave him a seductive smile, making Aleks' cheeks turn red once again. He giggled and got off of Aleks, shooting him as he ran away. Aleks sat up and cleared his throat, running a hand through his hair. Once he popped back into reality he ran to where he thought James went.

        James sat at his base regaining his vest health. He knew Aleks was probably camping somewhere around the base for when he leaves. What an asshole. Once he was all done, he ducked around the corner and saw fluffy hair sticking from one of the barriers. He sneaked to the barrier Aleks was at, and slowly looked around the corner. Wait.. its just some random kid? Suddenly his vest was lighting up and he saw Aleks behind him.

"What! Are you serious!! This is bullshit."

        James crossed his arms and began to pout since he was longer in the game.

"Whatever man come on lets go, we've been playing this game for so long."

        Aleks nodded his head and walked beside James to put their stuff away. Once everything was back where it was supposed to be they left through the doors and headed towards Aleks' car.

"Dude I'm fucking starving is there anywhere to eat around here?" James asked as he slouched into the car.

"I don't know.. there might be a McDonald's or something. Or Taco Bell?"

        James agreed to Taco Bell and Aleks started the car and began to drive there. Once arriving at their destination, Aleks said he would go in and buy the tacos. Seeing as how he paid for the laser tag, James was all for this idea. Aleks went inside the Taco Bell and just ordered four normal tacos. He waited for his food to get done and checked his watch. 1 A.M. He realized he hadn't checked his phone in a while and decided to pull it out. The only thing that caught his attention was a text from Eddie.

     Having fun with your new boyfriend?

        Aleks sighed and sent a text back.

     He's not my boyfriend. Sorry that I cant hang out with my friends now. stop being jealous.

        He put his phone back into his pocket and grabbed the bag of tacos, going back to his car. James snatched the bag and opened it up, grabbing out a taco. He set the bag down beside him and unwrapped it, shoving it into his face as if he hadn't eaten for years.

"Damn calm down fat ass."

"Fuck off." James muffled through the food in his mouth.

        Once James and Aleks reached their house, Aleks threw the door open and began walking up the stairs.

"Wait Aleks-" James called at him, walking to catch up. "I uh.." He scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably. "I had a nice time today..- Uh- not like.. in a weird way.. but.. uh... fuck." He shifted in his spot awkwardly and Aleks smiled at him.

"I know what you mean. I had a good time too."

        He turned back and continued walking up the stairs.
