Extended Visits - A One Direction Fanfiction

Chapter 1

I joyfully looked at the reminder in my phone.

Today was a very special Friday. For months I haven’t seen my best friend, and now we could finally hang out!

I grabbed my bags and walked out into the sunshine as I heard a car pull up.

“Hey, Casandra,” said a familiar voice.

I jumped into his arms and squeezed his neck.

“Liam! It’s been too long!”

He pulled back from our hug and laughed. “I know; but the tour finally over and I have been saving this day for us for the longest time.”

“Good,” I said jokingly. “I would have had to egg your house if you didn’t visit me.”

He mocked a hurt face and punched my shoulder lightly.

“Liam!” I stomped my foot. This was going to be just like old times. I have known him ever since kindergarten and we have been nearly inseparable since then. The first time we have ever been apart for an extended period of time was when I encouraged him to try out for the X Factor again. Then that’s when he made it big, and I have hardly seen him since. It broke my heart that my best friend would never be the same again, but at the same time I was extremely proud that he would finally be able to accomplish so much in this world.

“So,” he said pointing to my bags. “Are you all ready for the beach?”

I gave him a ‘duh’ face and he took my bags, like the typical gentleman he was.

“Oh, but before we get there,” he said, closing the car door before I could open it. “I need to tell you something.” I frowned.

“What?”

“Well, like I said, I have been saving this day for the longest time, but it won’t be just us.” My heart sank. “The boys will be there too, and of course we will have secret bodyguards; and then there will probably be a few fangirls and paparazzi running about the beach as well. We tried to choose a very desolate beach, but there’s still no guaranteeing that we will be all alone.”

I nodded my head in understanding and feigned a smile. “That’s okay. We can still have a great time. When do we meet the boys?” I made quotation marks with my fingers over ‘the boys’.

He sucked in a breath. “Now?”

And just then, somebody popped out of the sunroof and was screaming at the top of his lungs. He was waving his hands back and forth and looked like a dying worm. I was so shocked that I fell onto my bum and got wet from the grass.

“Louis!” Liam scolded.

Louis instantly stopped doing his weird thing and slumped over. “Sorry, Daddy.”

I laughed. “Daddy?”

Liam rolled his eyes. “Long story. Anyways, let’s go to the beach!” He grabbed my hand and we entered the limo.

It was very spacious, and inside were four young boys and annoyed-looking body guard.

“That’s Paul,” Liam said, pointing to the security guard. He waved.

A boy with very curly hair was obviously trying to use his smolder. “Hey, sweet thing, my name’s Styles. Harry Styles.” I held out my hand to shake, but instead he grabbed it and planted a kiss right on top. I couldn’t help but blush. He was such a flirt!

Liam quickly pushed Harry out of the way and then introduced the other boys. “This is Niall, Louis, and Zayn.”

Louis was doing some kind of mini dance in the corner of the limo and every few minutes Paul would tell him to stop which led to a fit of giggling. Zayn kept pestering about his hair and was wearing more makeup than I was-which was a lot. There was a tapping noise coming from Harry’s side, and when I looked over he was playing some kitty game on his phone. Niall, the cute blonde one who actually seemed normal, was playing his guitar and quietly singing.

Liam and I were talking up a storm.

“So what was it like when I left on tour?” He asked, trying to have me fill him in.

I laughed and shifted positions so that I could face him better. “Well, do you remember Nancy? The red-head jerk?” He nodded. “She went BALLISTIC when you made third on X Factor! She’s some Directioner now and has been begging me for your number ever since. I even heard she has a cardboard cut out of you and she kisses it every moment she can.”

He looked shocked. “Get. Out. No way is that true. She hated us!”

“Only because we were too cool for her,” I winked. “Wouldn’t it be such a joke if we went back to school and everyone freaked out if you were there?”

We both laughed at the thought.

“Did Molly miss me?” Molly was my pet turtle he bought me for my fourteenth birthday.

I beamed. “She’s doing great, I’m sure she would love to see you again.”

“Oh,” said Zayn. “That wouldn’t be the only person who would love to see you again.”

I looked at him, confused. Liam cleared his throat since Zayn wouldn’t look past his mirror.

“YOU’RE INSECURE, DON’T KNOW WHAT FOR!” Niall started belching with his guitar.

Paul moaned and I laughed. Harry and Louis were in an intense tickle fight and everyone was screaming and making noise. Liam roughed up Zayn’s hair and he made some noise I wish to never hear again. It was completely chaotic.

I just sat there with my eyes popped open.

“THE WAY THAT YOU FLIP YOUR HAIR GETS ME OVERWHELMED!!”

“Stop! Stop fighting!” Paul was trying to pull everyone apart, but then the car screeched to a stop, propelling everyone forward.

I landed on top of Niall who was crying over the fact that his Nando’s got smashed.

Liam grabbed my hand and lifted me up. I patted my shorts and apologized to Niall.

“I have only eaten two-wait, five times today. FIVE! How am I going to survive at this beach if I have nothing to eat?” He looked like he was about to die.

“Relax, Nialler. I can buy you something to eat,” Liam offered. Niall relaxed.

“Beach time!” Lou screamed, as he ran out of the car. He left his clothes behind but remembered to take his surfing gear.

Everyone climbed out and left towards the beach at their own pace.

Liam and I were walking together and were just enjoying each other’s presence.

“Today’s gonna be awesome,” he said linking his arm with mine.

I nodded my head in agreement. “And look, there aren’t people here!”

Sure, enough, we had the beach all to ourselves.
