Luke

Did I know at that moment where we were going?

No.

But I could care less because I had Lux in my presents. She was practically a walking mystery... And I wanted to solve her.

"Uh, so where are we going?" Lux asked bitting her lip nervously.

"You'll see." I grinned, even though I had no clue my self as to where we could go.

She nodded and looked out the window.

She sat so tense that you'd be a fool if you didn't notice how on edge she was. I wish I didn't make her feel that way.

My phone started vibrating from inside my pocket making me jump.

I reached and got it out of my pocket and saw that it was Calum calling me. Which who I forgot all about.

"Uh hey dude, kinda busy right now." I answered.

"What the fuck Luke! We thought you got your ass kicked! Where the hell are you?"

"Chill man, I'm perfectly in tact. And I'm with someone. I'll talk to you later."

"Oooooo! It's a girl isn't it?" Calum said changing his tone completely.

"Bye Cal."

"Wait Luke-"

I ended the call as soon as I could not wanting anymore distractions. But the call with Calum did give me an idea as to where to take Lux.

Lux

To say I was nervous was an understatement. I haven't hung out with anyone, (aside from Ashton) in a very long time.

And Luke didn't actually tell me where we were going.

I looked at the boy who was currently nodding his head to the radio that was playing softly from his car.

Curiosity was all I was feeling right now, as to why he actually wanted me here with him.

"What?" Luke asked with a light laugh, snapping me out of my trance.

"Nothing sorry." I said looking away and feeling my cheeks heat up.

"We're almost there." Luke said, and at this point I really had no clue as to where we were driving to. I never go out, so exploring the town never really happened for me.

Luke started slowing down till he came to a complete stop and turned off the car. taking in my surroundings I saw that we were at a cliff that overlooked the whole town. The sight was truly amazing, yet it made me nervous that we were on top of some cliff.

Luke jumped out of the car and came to my side to open my door.

"Nice view right?" Luke asked as I climbed out.

"Yeah it's beautiful."

I stood awkwardly as he shut the car door and moved to sit on the hood of his car.

"Lux. I know we just met and I'm kinda lame. But you don't have to be nervous." He said starring into my eyes.

I chewed on the inside of my mouth... It's easier said than done.

I slowly walked over by him and hoisted myself up onto the hood.

"Sorry this is just new to me... And you're not that lame by the way." I said mustering up the little courage I have to try and talk to him.

He laughed as he laid back on the car.

"Thanks. What a nice complement. So I'm not totally lame, but I have some lameness in me?"

"Exactly." I said with a wide smile, looking down at the silly boy with a lip piercing.

"Thanks Lux."

I laid back on his car as well finding the position more comfortable, but I still kept a good distance away from Luke.

Getting comfortable too quick can be dangerous.

We laid in silence looking at the clouds till Luke turned his head towards me.

"You know I remember the first time I found this place. Me and the boys were going around town at like midnight because everything at the moment seemed like total shit for all of us. And we just wanted to get out."

"Did it help coming here?"

"Yeah it actually did. I don't know, this place just reminds me that this is just a chapter in my life and I can either move on from it, be independent, and get away from this town that has too many bad memories. Or I can stay with my Dad that only cares about himself and go to a college that will make him look like the best father ever."

I frowned at him. I could tell all of that information had been bundled up inside of him for a long time.

"I'm sorry. That was too much information. I don't even need to be-"

"No. It's alright. Really." I said cutting him off.

He looked at me with wonder in his eyes.

"We all have our issues we deal with. It makes us human." I said not breaking eye contact.

He lightly grinned at what I said.

"And to think I haven't talked to you till now since you've moved here."

"I don't blame you. I guess I'm not all that approachable." I said nervously.

"No, I was just stupid."
