Dewey and Webby have matching crushes on eachother. They're perky and adventureous personalities make them the perfect match.
However, lately, Webby has been spending more time with Huey and Louie occasionally, she does still spend time with Dewey, but for the most, it's been spent with the other two.
Dewey had a nasty feeling in him.
"Why is Webby hanging out with them?" He said in his head. "She should be hanging with me.."
Dewey was indeed, jealous. Jealous of his brothers supposedly stealing Webby from him.
The triplets were in their room, Webby was in there as well.
She sat on the beanbag while Louie sat on the floor. They were both watching and laughing at a video Louie had put on.
Dewey looked at them with envy, groaned and laid back on his bed, staring at the bottom of Huey's bed.
Huey heard him. "I know somethings wrong, Dewey. What is it?"
"It's nothing.." Dewey replied.
"C'mon, you can tell me."
"If I do, you might despise me or think I'm crazy for the rest of our lives. Or until one of us dies before the other."
"Dewey, I won't be mad, just tell me."
"Fine.." He finally quit being stubborn. "It's about Webby, she's been spending more time with you guys, and I feel like she doesn't know I exist..it's the joy of being the forgotten kid." Dewey confessed.
"I see, but that doesn't mean she doesn't like you!"
"I guess.."
The talk with Huey kind of helped, but Dewey was still upset with both of them.
As much as he hated to, he was a bit mad at Webby as well, seeing as she's ignoring him almost entirely.
"Maybe they brainwashed her, making her forget about me, maybe they injected her with amnesia poison..maybe she.." Dewey couldn't even say in his mind with he meant.
What he meant was maybe she didn't like him anymore. Maybe she was having second thoughts. Maybe she likes Huey or Louie..
Dewey buried his face into his pillow and began to cry a little.
Later that night after everybody got ready for bed, Dewey was like an angry vulture. He was hunched when walking, mumbled while talking, and was stiff while sitting or lying down.
When it was time for bed, Dewey didn't go to bed immediately.
Instead, he went to Webby's room to see what she was doing.
Apparantely she was writing something on a nicely decorated paper.
Dewey wanted to sneak in, but he didn't want her to think he was invading, so he couldn't see what she was writing.
Webby began to turn around. Dewey quickly but softly closed the door, and run back to his room and jumped on his bed.
"Hey, keep still up there!" Louie called out to Dewey.
"Sorry.." Dewey apologized.
Dewey once again turned back into a vulture, and it took him quite a while to fall asleep.
"I wonder what or who that paper's for.." He wondered.
The next morning, Dewey zooshed back his tuft, put on his light blue sweater and his usual blue shirt over it.
All four kids walked together to the dining room, Dewey was kind of behind, though.
He kept staring at Webby from behind.
Dewey and Webby did sit next to eachother, but Webby was next to Huey, who she was talking with.
Dewey couldn't take it anymore.
"Alright Webby, what's up with you? Why aren't you spending any time with me?" Dewey slammed his hands on the table while saying that.
"Dewey-"
"It's obvious you don't like me anymore, heck, you might even like Huey or Louie instead!" Dewey got a knot in his throat and tears began to fill his eyes.
"D-Dewey?" Webby asked, worried.
"What..?" He asked, wiping away tears.
"I've been "ignoring" you because I was working on something that was meant for you..but you're kind of upset at me..so I guess I'll give it to later.." Webby replied, a bit hurt.
"No-no-no-no, wait! I'm sorry..I've just been so jealous lately, that I've been acting a bit strange.." Dewey tried to make her feel less hurt.
"Okay..Well, come in my room later, and I'll give it to you."
After a while, Dewey finally went to Webby's room to get his gift from her.
"This is for you.." Webby held out a blue box with a heart on it, she was also visibly blushing.
"Thanks!" Dewey began to open it.
Inside was a make-shift locket with a picture of the two of them.
Dewey was amazed at the gift Webby had given to him and he felt guilty again.
"Webby I know I said it before, but I'm really sorry for being jealous and all."
"I know, I just hope you like it."
"I do, but not as much as I like you." Dewey put the locket on and blushed. "Thanks."
"You're welcome, Dewey." Webby pecked him on his cheek.
Huey and Louie were looking from outside the door Dewey forgot to lock.
"See? No need to be jealous." Huey said.
"You guys were here the whole time?" Dewey asked, a bit embarrassed.
"Of course, you think we'd miss this cheesy moment?" Louie teased.
"Just get out.." Dewey shooed them.
"No way! I'm not missing the aftermath.
"He said..GET OUT!" Webby started charging at them.
They both scram and ran down the hall where it seemed safe.
"That should show them."
"Yeah, thanks.."
"No problem."
