Too Close

12/15/18 - Saturday

The seats are hard and scratchy.
My feet ache as I can feel the blisters forming on top of each other.
My whole body is sweaty.
My heart pumps so fast I swore I was having cardiac arrest.

Lights of colors spread throughout the room

Red
Green
Blue
Yellow
Pink

All swimming in the crowds as my feet are stuck.
My hands shake as I press them against my thighs.
I can't move again.
Cement insisted itself in my bones, inside my skin.

Eyes darting frantically as the crowds go larger.
Closer.
No, stop.
This is too close.

My chest hurts and it's heavier than the bulky skates I have on my feet.
Everything's in slow motions.

The lyrics of the screamo picked by the DJ.
The laughter of my friends.
My breathing becomes shallow.

Focus.

Focus.

Focus.

I can't.

Everyone's too close.

A/n:
Sorry for cringe. Went to my first day of therapy with my newest therapist.

Just need to live until Thursday. Just until finals are done. Then I can go on break and... feel a little better than I do right now. Wish me luck!
