I stumbled out of the forest, the gash in my stomach bleeding freely. Gasping in pain, I fell to the ground. I heard his voice call out to me. Everything was spinning. Then his face came into focus.
"Hey, hey everything is going to be alright." He said.
"I'm dying..." I told him, "I can't- you can't save me."
"No... no, you're my boyfriend, there has to be something I can do!" He shouted.
I shook my head, "just hold me..."
"Please don't leave me," he begged, "I love you so much."
"I know." I said with a small smile.
I reached up to brush a tear from his cheek. He caught my hand and held it, squeezing it just slightly. Drops of water started falling from the heavy, grey clouds above us. With him holding me, I wasn't scared. I could let go, and hopefully he will move on. Because just like him...
I find peace in the rain.
