"All right, let's get started," Clara said, her tattoo machine in hand. Clara began tattooing Adam, him staying absolutely still, "How's that?"

"Fine," Adam says, Clara continuing. Clara was near his forearm, so she couldn't stop looking at Adam's face, even though she tried not to look.

"You can make small talk if you want to," Clara said, Adam staying quiet.

"Are you sure?" Adam asks, "When John tattoos me, he doesn't like small talk."

"He's fucking with you," Clara says, "Whenever he does my tattoos, he forces me into small talk."

"I'll be sure to remember that," Adam says, Clara smiling, "What made you get into this profession?"

"My dad owned a shop," Clara says, "He would constantly have me and my siblings in the shop after school and we would do our homework around a bunch of people covered in tattoos. Now, I'm here."

"That's a nice story," Adam says, "Any wild stories?"

"Well, my younger sister brought her friend in here for her 18th birthday, and her friend didn't eat much that day, and passed out when I started," Clara says, "Mostly just passing out and throwing up is what I've dealt with."

"You're in luck, since that's never happened in my case," Adam says, Clara smiling once more.

"That's good, I like a client who doesn't complain," Clara says, before laughing, "I'm kidding."

"I'll say this now, since I don't know if I'll ever get the courage to say this later," Adam says, "Can I take you out on a date?"

Taken aback, Clara sits back, so she doesn't poke Adam with the tattoo machine. Taking a deep breath, she knows that he was nervous, so she smiles.

"I'll give you my number," Clara says, Adam smiling at her. Adam felt relief, since Clara agreed for a date.

"All right, and we are done," Clara says, gently cleaning off the tattoo. Smiling, Adam took a glance, seeing the beautiful detail in the tattoo, "Come on, we'll go to the mirror and see."

Walking towards the mirror, Clara and Adam were side by side, Adam holding back his urge to touch her. He kept his urge at bay, Clara feeling Adam getting tense.

"What do you think?" Clara asks, the two of them standing in front of the mirror. A smile grows quickly on Adam's face.

"That is perfect," Adam says, completely shocked by the detail, "I love it, thank you so much."

"You're welcome," Clara says, walking to the front desk. Sitting at the desk, Adam gives her four 100-dollar bills. Passing her number, Adam looks at it, putting it in his phone, "Call me later."

Leaving the shop, Adam's tattoo was wrapped and he was happy.

"She's blushing!" Michael screamed, smiling at Clara, "Princess, did you finally give your number out?"

"Shut up," Clara says, smiling. Michael laughed, walking away from the front desk. Clara went to look on the computer's schedule, seeing that she had two more clients left to go.

"Hey, it's Adam," Adam said on a phone call, Clara smiling, "I wanted to make sure you didn't give me a fake number."

"Well, I didn't," Clara says, holding back her laughter.

"Can I take you to one of my favorite bars tonight?" Adam asks, "It's not far from the tattoo shop you're at."

"Of course!" Clara says, smiling, "I'll be leaving around 10 o'clock tonight, so I'll meet you there. Just text me the address."
