POV: Loki

Asgard. I don't know much about it, but If I'm going to be king then I must know all, I must know more than Thor. I decided to venture out deep into the mountains of unexplored Asgard. Of course Odin wouldn't allow me to go out at all, so I have a clone filling in for me, just alone in my room as usual.

As I rode down a small but peaceful path, I admired the true beauty of Asgard, far from the golden palace. It had snowy mountains. Glistening trees. Bright colourful flowers. Rivers which snaked for miles upon end. I felt calm.

I dismantled from my beautiful black horse called Balder, especially named by Odin, I didn't care about it though. It was quite a meaningful name anyway.

I watched birds swoop from tree to tree as I sat on the rock to have a break, staring back at the horrid golden palace in the distance.

As i went to tie my horse to a tree I heard a scream come from behind a really tall bush. I ran over, pulled out a dagger just in case. The screaming stopped. I paused.

Suddenly, a women to fast to see leapt out of the bush and tackled me to the floor. "Get off me foul lady!" I yelled as I pushed her off me.

"Here, you dropped something," she said smiling as she held my dagger out in front of me.

She was beautiful. Nothing like a worthless Asgardian. She was tall, her blue eyes shone in the bright sunlight and her hair fell down to her stomach.

"Sorry," I paused, "I thought you were in trouble."

"I was, until a big handsome brave man came and saved me." She exclaimed while still showing her glistening smile.

"Who?" I asked, wondering if Thor was out here looking for me. Had my clone not worked?

"You, silly." She laughed. "My name is Freya, the Goddess of Love."

"I'm Loki... the God of Mischief-"

"I know who you are Loki, I'm a God just like you. We are very similar you and I."

"How so?" I asked curiously.

"I can't tell you here, Heimdall watches." Freya explained.

She grabbed my hand and dragged me down the path. I couldn't stop staring. She was so pretty. I've never felt this way before. What am I feeling?

We entered a small cave on the biggest mountain on Asgard. I was confused, why would a Goddess end up in a place like this?

"Were almost home." She said happily.

Almost? There's more?

All around me was dark sharp rock. Very few torches lit up this small cave. As we walked on I heard water running fast above me.

"If you are a Goddess, why do you live in a place like... This?"

"A place like what?"

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was just as beautiful as her. The trees stood tall. Bright orbs lit up the place. It was massive, bigger than Odin's forsaken palace.

As we stepped in two massive doors closed us in. Everyone was happy. I gazed around in amazement.

This is exactly what I need. This is exactly what I need to overthrow Odin. I'll have him at his knees begging for his life as his golden palace falls and his people cower away in fear. I would have finally been able to prove myself worthy and I will be king.

I followed her willingly to her underground castle, where I asked her to tell me everything she knows.

"Loki, quite some time ago I was exactly like you. I had felt worthless and nothing but a shadow." Freya explained.

"Who made you feel worthless?" I asked.

"Odin, he found and took me in. Not as he child, but as his personal puppy. He used me to fight battles he couldn't when looking after your brother Thor. Though I was grateful, I had competition."

"Who?" I interrupted.

"Your sister, Hela." She answered."She outgrew both me and Odin, wanted to carry on taking rule past the Nine Realms. So Odin banished her, sent her to Hel, where he sent the Valkyries to fight them, where they all died. And so he cast me out, stripped me of my name and banished me from stepping anywhere near his palace, to keep his secret past hidden."

"Then why did you tell me?"

"Because I want you to tear Odin apart, reveal his secret, have him looked down upon by all of Asgard." She said menacingly.

"He'll kill us both!" I exclaimed abruptly.

"Not if we kill him first," she said whispering into my ear. She came close and stared into my eyes. "We could rule Asgard Loki." She whispered.

I pushed her down onto her bed, and our lips slowly touched.

"Yes we can."
