The thing about love is that people portray it as a vast, indescribable concept. Something that you can't understand until you've experienced enough to know about it. From a young age, we're taught that we can't know love. That we can't even know what it is. They're wrong.
Love is the feeling of security when someone's arms wrap around you. Love is the tucking in of the blanket around a sick figure. Love is comfort food, served steaming hot and piled high on the table. Love is conversations at every moment that they are required. Love is colours and music and hope and sadness and every feeling rolled up into one.
Love isn't exclusive.
It's welcoming and comforting and it's home.
Love remains even when the person doesn't.
