A warm, yet cold breeze welcomed spring. Spring had finally come to the kingdom. The forest floor still felt cool under feet. Sira walked the path that leads to the core of the forest. She felt like she needed to go to the Sky Oak. She wanted her feelings to melt away. She still didn't understand what the wise one had said. True terrors? Encounters that must be hidden? The true answer will be at your heart. Follow your heart to where it leads you too. Just beware of the encounters you will find there thought Sira. Sira misplaced her foot and bumped into an object, falling to the ground.
"Are you ok?"
"Yes." said Sira.
"Hey if you hadn't been on your thoughts all path. You would have paid attention, Sira."
Sira had finally come to her senses. She was in the core of the forest, where the Sky Oak was, again. She hadn't realized she bumped into the Sky Oak. Sira assumed she must place her foot under a gnarled root.
"Did I rip your root, Sky Oak?" asked Sira.
"No. Just be careful where you go."
Sira hated when the Sky Oak spoke rhythmical. Most of the words the Sky Oak said, Sira never really understand.
"I must ask why are you here, for I may have a answer to your plea."
"I only came here for comfort," said Sira.
"Are you sure? Because I might help you be assure."
Sira was sure how the Sky Oak knew that she had questions bugging her. But she, also, came to the Sky Oak for comfort. The Sky Oak was her best friend, apart from Mallow. Sira walked toward the tree. Its bark was ragged. The tree roots all gnarled and ragged. Not a single one was healthy. Sira was careful, this time trying to avoid a root. She wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she rips one. Another question flew into her mind. What would happen if one rips? Sira was tempting to rip one but she dare not to because she didn't want to lose the Sky Oaks trust.
"My dear, nothing would happen if you rip one. But I prefer not to, since they are a bit delicate."
Sira jumped a little by the sudden voice. She looked to the Sky Oak. One of its roots was extend to her. Sira grab it with her mouth, being careful not to hurt the root. The mouth of the tree didn't open, but instead it leads her besides the tree. Sira saw all kinds of things. She was in awe by what she saw. All of a sudden, the vision closed in a snap. Sira was brought back into the real world. The only thing Sira could see was trees and bushes. Sira could hear a distant voice. The Sky Oak wasn't alive like before. Sira tried to talk to the oak but nothing happen. Only the tree roots move, showing it was still alive.
"Sira! I finally found you! I being worried about you." screamed Mallow in a desperate voice.
"Why were you looking for me?" asked Sira.
"Well, Dyghem was looking for you to ask you if you wanted to go hunting with him. He looked for you and he couldn't find you. He asked his friends and me, but neither did I know where you went. But honestly, I knew you probably were with the Sky Oak." answered Mallow, pointing to the Sky Oak with her muzzle.
Sira studied her for a moment. She didn't believe her friend. A distant voice that Sira recognized suddenly appeared. Dyghem was also looking for her. She was disappointed that everyone was looking for her.
"I'm here!" yowled Sira, "Mallow found me!"
Footsteps echoed through the forest floor. Dyghem came out of the forest into the small clearing where the Sky Oak was. He was scared and worried about seeing Sira all right. He padded toward her.
