After the meeting, you left the building with Tom, following him to his car.
"You drove here?" You asked, going to the passenger side of his car.
"I did." He nodded a bit. "Can't really take public transit around here." He unlocked the car to let you in. You carefully opened the door and got in, Tom hopping in beside you in the drivers side, giving a smile.
"Mister popular, eh?" You joked with a big smile, making him chuckle a bit.
"Somehow, I suppose." He admitted with a shrug as he started the car, pulling out from the side and getting on the road.
"I hope we're not heading to the hotel diner. The coffee there sucks.." You admitted. You were surprised you weren't shy around him. You didn't want to hide your personality.
"I know. I've been there before.." Tom agreed.
"Didn't you order a coffee today?" He glanced at him, seeing him smirk.
"I ordered a tea. They use the same plastic cups for the tea and the coffee.." He replied. "Why, did you get a coffee?"
"...Yep." You gave a little chuckle. "I saw you order it, so I figured it was good."
"Paying close attention to me, huh?" He joked with a grin. Your cheeks heated up a bit. He's flirting again--
"You englishmen have good taste. What can I say?" You replied with a flirty smile, tilting your head at him. He gave another chuckle, turning on the engine and beginning to drive down the road."Don't worry, we're going somewhere very different.." He spoke, keeping an eye on the lights and such.
"Not too fancy, I hope. I'm not as dressed for the occasion." You smiled, flipping the little mirror in front of you down to check your makeup.
"If I were to take you out to a fancy diner, you'd know beforehand.." He replied.
"Oh? How so?" You asked curiously.
"Well, I'd at least be a bit more romantic about it." He admitted. "Present you with flowers, offer up a dance, basic romance, yknow?" He smiled a bit, glancing back at you. Your cheeks went a bit pink, flipping the mirror back up. You didn't have a response to that, but luckily it seemed the ride was over, watching as he pulled into a little parking lot.He parked the car and turned off the engine. "Here we are!" He chirped, unlocking the doors so you both could get out. You hopped out of the passenger side, joining his side at the front before he escorted you to the diner. It was a pretty big diner, compared to the hotel one. Wasn't this supposed to be a basic lunch? Maybe he's being polite?
What if this was a date?Holy shit.
Yo imagine if this was a date lmao.
A date with Tom fuckin' Hiddleston. You both walked into the diner, a waitress helping you find a seat by the window. This place was rather nice, actually. You liked the colors.
You set your bag aside as you sat down, the waitress taking your drink orders. You ordered an iced tea, while he just got some water. Sophisticated bastard.
"So, when did you start acting?" Tom asked curiously, glancing down at the menu in front of him.
"Oh, well, I did a lot of musical theater, but this is actually my first big roll." You admitted with a chuckle. "I'm surprised they accepted me.."
"They showed your audition role at the meeting. You did wonderfully." He smiled at you. You remember that. He had this big smile on his face when they showed your tape. It was embarrassing.
"I have no idea why they did that.." You admitted with a shy chuckle, rubbing your forehead slightly. "I haven't done any serious acting in years."
"Oh? What did you do before the acting?" He asked.
"I'm a Twitch Streamer." You replied. You loved talking about your streams. "I play video games, mostly."
"Ah! I think I've heard of that!" He chipperd up a bit with a smile. "Are you popular?"
"Depends on who you ask." You admitted. You didn't want to appear egotistical.
"I also have a YouTube channel where I post highlights.."
"Perhaps I'll have to check you out sometime.." Tom smiled. "Ah--O-On YouTube, I mean."
"I know what you mean.." you giggled."You're big on acting too, aren't you?" You asked.
"Yes, I've been an actor for quite some time." Tom admitted. "Do you recognize me from somewhere?"
"Honestly, I couldn't figure out exactly who you were for the longest time." You chuckled. "I knew you were an actor, but I couldn't remember where I remembered you from.."
"Well, where do you remember me from?" He asked curiously.
"My friend reminded me that you're Loki, on the bus ride to the meeting." You replied with a little smile, seeing him smile back with a little sigh.
"Well, I hope I'm not too bland." He joked.
"Bland?" You repeated, a little confused. "Why would I think you're bland?"
"As much as I love Loki, some people become a little disappointed when they find out I'm him and realize I look nothing like him." Tom admitted, giving a humble chuckle.
You had a feeling that there were people like that, but it was still sad to hear.
"I don't think it's bad that you two don't look alike." You smiled.
"Loki is quite the handsome man, though. I don't blame them.." Tom spoke with a friendly shrug.
"So are you." You replied, giving a warm smile.Oh God.
Why did you say that aloud?Tom let out a bashful little chuckle, licking his lips slightly. Before he could respond, the waitress had come by to give you your drinks. You had been so busy chatting with Tom, you hadn't even looked at the menu. Thankfully, a little glance was all you needed, deciding to just go with the ceaser salad. Tom got some curly fries. Not a bad decision.
After the waitress took your menus, you looked back at him. You still couldn't believe you gave him such a compliment aloud. You wondered what he thought of it.
"Have you ever been to L.A. before?" Tom asked you as you took a sip from your drink, setting it down.
"Once, just before college." You admitted. "Went with a group of friends as a way to celebrate the last of our teenagehood." You chuckled. "What about you?"
"Oh yeah. Plenty of times." Tom nodded. "I love how nice the weather is, but I'll always prefer the UK. I'm an English man to the core. Ever been there?"
"To the UK? Never, but I've always wanted to go for a month or so." You admitted.
"You should definitely come up and visit someday." Tom smiled. "I'd love to show you around.""What do you do when you have to be away from home a lot?" You asked him curiously. "I mean, most of this film is gonna be set here in America, right? Where do you go to live?"
"Sometimes I'm just at a hotel the whole time." Tom admitted. "Other times I'll crash at a friends house, though usually only if they have information related to my role that I may need to learn."
You gave a soft nod. "That's clever, actually." You replied. "So, which are you gonna do for this movie? Hotel, or friend?"
"I'm kind of hoping to find a place to crash." Tom smirked, taking a sip from his drink. "Where we're filming a majority of the movie is a bit of a small town. From my understanding, the newest hotel is hours away from our main set. Even driving would take too long."
"Is there a way you can, like, temporarily rent a little house by the set? That's what I was gonna do." You admitted, leaning back against your seat.
"Not a bad idea.." Tom smiled at you.Shortly after more chats and flirtations, you got your lunch and began eating. While you did love the flirting, it was nice to have a normal conversation with Tom. He was a very humble and friendly man. Quite intelligent, too. You hoped to have more little chats like this on set, or if you ever decide to go out again
....
Is this a date?
He didn't say it was a date.
But he didn't say it wasn't, either. You chatted a bit more while you ate, though you mostly talked about stuff related to him, like some of his favourite movie roles and on set moments. He was really the kind of guy to know every cast and crew member. He spoke about how he gave a thank you card to everyone on set that worked on I Saw The Light alongside him. He's such a good person. You should really watch that movie.
Once you were done eating, he quietly called for the bill. He pretty much refused to let you help pay for the bill no matter how much you offered. Quite the gentleman.
He took out a bit of cash to pay for the meal before standing up.
"Time to head back to the hotel." He spoke, smiling as he left with you. You felt your hands slightly touch as you walked back to his car, a slight blush on your cheeks. It made you feel all warm for a second. You weren't sure if he felt anything from that, like you did.
You got into the passenger side, him getting into the drivers side and starting the car.
"Thank you for lunch.." You finally remembered to thank him, giving him a kind smile.
"It was my pleasure." He returned the smile, looking back at you. After pulling out of the parking lot, he spoke up again. "How's your hotel room?"
Oh GOD.
"Wh-What?" You tried not to blush.
"Is it a comfortable size? Good sized kitchen?" He asked curiously.
"Oh--Uhh...It--It doesn't have a kitchen." You admitted. "Its just a room with a bed, and a bathroom by the door."
"Really? Mines more of an apartment." Tom admitted. "Perhaps I can show you once we get back?"
Your cheeks heated up a bit. Jesus fuck. He wants to invite you to his hotel room now?
On second thought, quit getting the wrong idea! He's an attractive--He's a friendly brit that took you out on a nice date--a nicr lunch, and now wants you to...see his hotel room...for some reason.
Okay it does kinda sound...like that."Sure." You finally agreed after a bit of thought, smiling back at him. You had no idea what to expect. Did you want something to happen? Could something happen? There's no way Tom was like that, right?
Not that you'd say no.
...
Would you say no?
Oh God.
You're really not sure.
You're literally headed to Tom's hotel room.
Oh my God.For now, you enjoyed the quiet car ride back to the hotel, many different scenarios racing through your head. Only time could tell what was going to happen.
