"I love you." Came Grace's voice as she came into Autumn's view, she was holding Christopher's arms as he faced her, and Graced noticed Autumn in the corner of her eye.

"I-" Christopher was caught off when Grace lips slammed to his, and at that moment Autumn felt her heart break into a million pieces, and she ran away from the room.

Chapter 6

-------------

Christopher froze in place, shocked from Grace's action, feeling his heart breaking, he pushed Grace away.

"You don't just do that without someone's consent, I don't feel that way about you!" Christopher stomped his way passed Grace and headed back to the other room. Grace stood there with a frown but when she remembered the reaction of the brunette, a sly smile appeared, and she thought that was the first step to getting Christopher.

Christopher didn't understand the way his heart felt like it was broken in pieces, it was a foreign feeling that he needed to figure out. When he arrived in the living room, no one was there so he called out to his sisters, but there was no answer.

He headed towards their room only to hear frantic talking from his sisters. "What do we do?" Angela said. "Why won't she wake up?" Angel said and that rose Christopher's curiosity.

He opened the door to see Angela practically pulling her hair out at the foot of her bed, but then his eyes fell on Angela who was rocking while holding Autumn in her arms.

"What's going on?" Christopher grabbed Angel's arm, stopping her from pulling her hair.

"Autumn came running in crying earlier, and when we tried to ask her what was wrong, she passed out." Angel said as she looked towards Autumn. "And now she won't wake up."

Christopher glanced at Autumn, his chest tightening as she laid there, her body almost lifeless. He walked up to Autumn and kneeled in front of her as he took her soft hand into his own.

"Go get mother, she might be able to figure out what's going on." Christopher spoke, speaking to Angel, but kept his eyes on Autumn. Angel walked quickly out of the room to fetch their mother and Christopher put his hand on Angela's shoulder and gestured with his head for her to move for him to take her place. Angela glanced at Autumn for a few seconds but she eventually let Christopher take her spot, and sat at the edge of her bed as she watched Christopher look at Autumn. The way he looked at her, she had never seen her brother look at someone in such a way, and realization dawned on her that her brother cared dearly for the unconscious faery in his arms.

As Angela finished that thought, the heavy footsteps of her sister and mother brought her intentions to the door when it opened. Their mother briskly walked towards Autumn and put her hand on her forehead and immediately pulled her hand away as if Autumn was lava. "She's burning up! Angela get some cold water in a bowl and Angel grab a towel from the bathroom." At their mother's word, they all scrambled to their tasks except for Christopher who held on to Autumn in a daze.

"It's your fault." Christopher’s mother whispered softly with a hint of sadness, making him snap his attention to her as his mother looked at his confused expression.

"How is it my fault?" Christopher eyes were full of hurt and confusion. His mother was going to answer when the girls came in with a bowl of water that had a bit of snow to keep the water cold and Angel with a wash cloth.
