The room fell silent. No one really said anything. We all just sat there, wondering what the heck was going on. The ground seemed to shake harder with every minute that passed. The sirens where going crazy outside-
"wait what was that?" I thought to myself, There was a loud crash, and a groan in pain, that sounded like a guy.
"Wait! My phone has a flashlight on it!" Noel said cheerfully, the click of her phone unlocking echoed through the silence of my bathroom, and a bright white light shone from her phone.
She flashed it all through the room, and then we all gasped seeing a hole in the ceiling, then she moved the light to the floor where Nate was lying with part of the ceiling on him.
"Nate!" Levi squealed, pushing the debris off of him, and shook him.
"Levi!" Katie, pulled levi off of Nate, and held her back. "He needs space." She whispered comforting to her.
My mom rushed over to Nate, the light moving all around from Noel's shaking. My mom, Heidi, placed to fingers by Nates neck to feel for a pluse.
"He's fine, guys." She said exhaling. "He's just unconsious. We'll have to be carefull of fallng debris.. the ground is stll shaking to hard."
We all just stayed silent, fearful of what could happen next.
"We should all get on the floor, and keep our heads covered." Jannie said breaking the silence.
Mumbled, agreements came from the group as we got down on the floor, and lied on the floor. The ground shook so hard, some of us still trying to get comfortable on the floor, flew over. And then there was a cracking noise, like the ground was splitting.
"Look!" Jacob cried, pointed at the tiles on the floor, which started to grow a crack.
"We have to get out of here, kid you go first!" Heidi called, standing up
"But mom!-" I tried to argue but she interupted.
"No! Hannah, you and your friends half to go first." She said, with a tone that pretty much that just ended the conversation.
"Fine, common guys." I said standing up, and slowly everyone else did so.
"Hurry." My mom said, opening the door, and we all flood out quickly. The ground did another violent shake, causing us to stumble, and a thud sounded, like a body hitting the ground.
"Mom?" I called, but there was no response. "MOM!" I screamed. "Noel, please turn on your flashlight." I said in a shakey voice.
"Han-" Noel started
"Noel please!" I cried out, and then the light shone into the bathroom. And my eyes widened in horror, like i was living in a nightmare.
"MOM!" I cried again, rushing into the bathroom. She lied there, a huge piece of the ceiling covered her body.
"Han...nah" She coughed. Tears welling in my eyes, as the ground shook again, and the crack started to grow. "You... you have to go. I wont be able to-" She coughed harder "I wont be able to keep up with you." My mom said, struggling to breath. The ground started to split so wide you could see clearly down it.
"Han, we have to go!" Emma squealed, grabbing my arm, and yanked me backwards.
"No!" I screamed at her, tears rolling down my cheeks, and i tried to fight her... but I knew i couldn't. "Emma please!" I screamed again.
"Hannah! Come on!" The sandy blondde growled, pulling me toward the backdoor.
"Mom!" I called again, but there was no response. Emma dragged me outside.
"If we stay here we'll die! Hannah snap out of it! I cant drag you on forever!" She huffed, and i could hear the chatter of the group. emma let go of my arm and i fell. I couldn't move- I didnt want to move.
But suddenly the ground shook, and i watched as my house, the house that was filled with all of the memories with friends family, caved in.
"NO!" I squealed, standing up and stumble-ran towards my house. "MOM!" I cried again, falling over in the grass. I could feel the tears roll down my cheeks. But it felt like my lungs couldn't move, my legs where frozen, and so was the rest of my body.
